Today I’m sharing how to get new nudes with the Moonslice Beauty Moonshake palette. Moonslice Beauty is a cruelty-free and vegan indie beauty brand. They’re a sister brand to Saucebox Cosmetics. They believe in beauty with a cause. They donate a portion of each sale to women’s shelters, victims of domestic violence, minority women, and other women in need. Moonslice Beauty says this about the Moonshake Palette

The top swatches are all the Moonslice Beauty Moonshake palette, while the bottom are the Huda Beauty New Nudes palette, swatched on my fair skin.
Moonshake Palette vs New Nudes Palette Review
When I first swatched the Moonslice Beauty Moonshake Palette, I cried happy tears (I’m PMS’ing so really emotional) because I looked at how every single shade looks with my skintone and felt much the same as when I swatched Huda Beauty New Nude for the first time – like I could wear every shade in the palette and have it look nice on me.
While the colors in the Moonslice Beauty Moonshake Palette are not one to one direct dupes with the Huda Beauty New Nudes palette, they are very similar. If you remember my Huda Beauty New Nudes Review, I basically stated that the 2 glitter shades and 1 cream shade were basically trash, so I don’t think you’re missing anything by not having those in the Moonshake Palette.
I LOVE the foil shades in the Moonshake Palette! They’re gorgeous and most have a duochrome shift. These are the beautiful stars of the show with this palette. The mattes are lovely and soft. I really love the different tones selected in the palette. I was so happy to see my favorite sort of cool-toned transition color in there – the pinky-taupe matte. I use this sort of color with purples, pinks, greys, or other cool tones.
I was honestly worried when I first pulled this out that it was going to be too warm or too brown-toned for me to wear, but Moonslice did such a great job with their color selection! I feel like a lot of time and energy went into carefully selecting these tones to help provide a wide variety of neutral and berry looks looks that work with fair skin like mine. I mean, I can even wear the orange and I normally avoid orange.
The only color that I see that is missing from the Moonshake Palette vs. the New Nudes palette is Love Bite, the beautiful burgundy wine matte. However, don’t fret! Saucebox will be releasing Dramatica, a beautiful burgundy wine matte, so you can get your fix that way!
The biggest advantage that the Moonshake Palette has over the Huda Beauty New Nudes palette is that Moonslice Beauty – and this palette – are 100% vegan in addition to being cruelty free. So while Huda Beauty is cruelty-free, they are not vegan. The second big advantage is that the Moonshake palette is an affordable $18.99, compared to the New Nudes palette which is $65, which makes it more than 3xs the cost of the New Nudes.
If you are tired of the same old same old when it comes to neutrals palettes that are bored, stale, and chock full of warm brown neutrals, give Moonslice Moonshake a try! These gorgeous pinks, peaches, and bronzes have enough variety to keep you entertained whether you’re going for work safe or a sultry night out. What do you think of the Moonslice Moonshake Palette?
ETA: So Alla just got back to me and is sorry for any confusion. Moonslice Beauty products will all be 100% vegan by 2020, and almost everything IS vegan, but this palette is not. However, it is still cruelty-free. So to be clear, the Moonshake Palette is not vegan, but it is cruelty-free.
I love Saucebox formula, so I will have to checkout Moonslice, especially at the price point.
The colors are beautiful! I love that the Moonshake palette has a black shadow, adding to the versatility of the palette.
Those are so pretty on your skintone!
