Fyrinnae Pressed Shadows
Today I’ve got another collaboration with a friend to share with you. This time we’re talking about Fyrinnae pressed eyeshadows. Rina and I both made videos to extol our love for this vegan brand.
Fyrinnae Pressed Shadows
Where to Buy
Fyrinnae
Price
$8 to $9
Unicorn
Not white or cream, but iridescent transparent lavender (similar to Sakura) filled with multi-color sparkle.
Hitched
Bright, metallic satiny warm red. No sparkle, just a softly gleaming finish.
Work Safe Blue
Slightly satiny deep taupe with a light blue highlight.
Atomic Afterglow
Cool silvery taupe filled with highlights of copper, gold, and light green. Satiny finish with slight shimmer, no sparkle.
Because Cats
A wine-grape violet layered on a dark base, sprinkled with a rainbow of sparkle.
Steampunk
This is an antiqued deep copper on black, with a touch of gold sparkle and hues of pink. Move it toward light or change the angle, and it turns gold to green, the black base setting off the vivid highlight.
Dark Bidding
Blue sparkle and a blue-pink base turn red to orange to almost gold when brought closer to light or at an angle.
The Alchemist
Striking green-aqua shimmer on a semi-transparent black base (will be opaque over a sticky base, but not over primer). Closer to light or angled, it turns violet, purple, then dark pink
Luxury
Brilliant, shimmering, metallic yellow gold. Our most intense gold shadow.
Aztec Gold
Stunning deep metallic gold over a rich olive green base.
Jade Ghost
Slightly shimmery pale white-green. Appears pastel in the pan, but once applied, it has no white base but an iridescent glow of light green shimmer. Looks great alone or over other colors.
Bitey Tyrannosaur
Vibrant yellow shimmer tops a lush green base, creating a rich multi-hued lime.
Sorceress
described as a soft black shadow with shimmer which changes from a brilliant aqua to vibrant cool pink
Immortality
A rainbow of sparkle in soft black.

These eyeshadows, to me, are very pigmented, smooth and long wearing. They’re complex colors that can be worn on their own or with other colors. Even neutrals like Work Safe Blue and Steampunk steal the show when used in an eye look.
What do you think of the Fyrinnae Pressed Shadows?
More to See
Oooooooh Hitched looks so prettyyyyyyy! I have Bitey Tyrannosaur and Aztec Gold both in loose shadow but I sort of want these in pressed shadows….Tempting!!!! I find in the mornings I am a lot more likely to do a pressed shadow since loose shadow is too much for my 6am brain to deal with!
Thank you so much for the swatches and I really enjoyed the video(see my comments on You Tube!) I am sooo happy that they brought pressed shadows back, because it allows people who aren’t comfortable yet with loose shadows to enjoy them! I am WOWED by the complexity(that’s how you described the shades, it’s the perfect words) The are so rich and then layered with stunning complexity-I reallyyyyyy love them! I totally agree, shades like The Alchemist or Sorceress-a lot of brands have tried to do but really have done it with mixed success! I love Steampunk, Because Cats, Hitched-and Sorceress and the brilliant Lime(I’ve always wanted to play with that color!) Do you think that a brush like the NARS Wet/Dry(flat) would work well, and do you think I would need a different base for them-I thought that some of them would be okay over a TFSI type primer but a shade like Alchemist(you put a note on that one about it) would need a different. What would you recommend?
“Atomic Afterglow” is one of my most favorite eyeshadows ever. It doesn’t look like much in swatches but it is unique and beautiful when worn. I remember having another shade I was even more obsessed with like 6 years ago, I want to say it was called “Newcastle”?
Anyway a lot of Fyrinnae shadows are unique and complex to the point that even the best swatches don’t do them justice. I highly recommend trying them to anyone who hasn’t yet.
I don’t have a makeup budget right now or I’d be all over the pressed shades. The colors being loose was the only reason I didn’t wear them exclusively, because they weren’t easy to bring on-the-go. I can’t wait to purchase some of these though! Yay!
So pretty! Haven’t ordered anything from them in a long, long time, but I might place an order soon <3
Wow! How pretty! I really like work safe blue but they’re all pretty
Unicorn and Because Cats <3 Those are perfect. They all are- but those are my favs!
Wow! Those look amazing. Aztec Gold and Bitey Tyrannosaur are stunning. I’m going to watch the video right now.
You always have great swatches and explain each swatch so well. I love the pigmentation of the Fyrinnae Pressed Shadows.
