This primer smells delicious! It reminds me of sweet coconut candy. Thankfully the scent does not linger, so I think anyone with scent sensitivities will not be bothered by the smell.

The primer is white and watery, but once you spread it on the skin it turns clear and feels hydrating. It seems to absorb into my skin and dry quickly without feeling heavy. It does leave my face feeling hydrated and helps to extend the life of my foundation. It did not irritate my sensitive skin.

I do feel like it gives you a dewy appearance when worn on its own. I know several of you have asked me in the past to recommend a silicone free primer and I was stumped on what to recommend after Fyrinnae discontinued their velvet gel silica primer (which was silicone free), so I’m really happy to see Hangover spring up. I think more people are asking for silicone free products.

That said, this primer will not replace my beloved Too Faced Primed and Poreless Face Primer. I love the feel and slip of silicone on my skin, so it’s a little daunting to embrace a primer without them.

I have to say, this is a great value for the price. For $32 you’re getting 1.35 oz of product. By comparison Primed & Poreless is $30 for only 1 oz.

What do you think of Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer? Love or hate silicones? Let me know!

  1. It seems like this is more of a serum than an actual primer…hmm I must put this on my list of “shit to look at, but shouldn’t buy because I already have 504993million primers”. Lovely review as always love!

  2. I’m interested in this because I worry that silicones may have made me break out in the past. I’m not sure that silicone was the culprit and I do love the feel of primers with silicone. So I’m conflicted. Great to know there is silicone free primers available and that you like it.

  3. This sounds very interesting! I always feel like silicone make my skin break out, so this might be a good replacement 🙂

  4. HA HA VERY NICE!!!!! Loaded with all those good probiotics like yogurt!!!!! LOVE IT!!! Eat your yogurt girls, (or frozen yogurt
