eDiva Princess Organizer Review

eDiva Princess Organizer Review

A while back I had the opportunity to try out the eDiva Princess Organizer. It’s a clear, sturdy, acrylic organizer for makeup that is meant to set on top of your dresser or vanity.

Price
$297 for the Princess (shown), $198 for the Duchess (see the website for details)

Top of the eDiva

The eDiva Princess is 12 inches wide by 16 inches high and has six drawers. The bottom drawer is supposed to be deep enough for nail polish, though as you’ll see in mine I used it for lipstick.

Filled eDiva PrincessAnd here’s my eDiva Princess filled with products from my collection.

Top Drawer of the eDiva Princess

Here’s my top drawer of the eDiva Princess. I’ve got foundations, highlighters and primers in here. This is the most shallow drawer of the 6.

second_drawerThis is my second drawer. It fits my powder foundation, finishing powders and mattifiers.

Third DrawersMy third drawer has my tarte lipsurgence lip pencils, buxom big and healthy lip sticks, Luminess air makeup, some Laura Mercier, MAC, and Pumpkin & Poppy.

Fourth drawerIn my fourth drawer I’ve got Kryolan glosses, Venomous cosmetics glosses, Nyx and MAC lip pencils. I’ve got eyeliners ranging from Too Faced to Urban Decay to Kat von D.

Fifth drawerIn my fifth drawer I have Fyrinnae lip lustres, Nyx lip glosses, MAC lip glases, Silk Naturals lip products, Evil Shades and Darling Girl lip products, etc.

Sixth Bottom DrawerIn my bottom drawer (the sixth one), I have lipsticks. You can see NARS, Urban Decay, Morgana Cryptoria, Milani, Wet n’ Wild, Too Faced, Addiction NV, Illamasqua and tarte.

My Thoughts
This is indeed very sturdy and well made. It’s a high quality acrylic. It’s not cheap plastic. It’s going to last you quite awhile. If you are an average makeup lover (not someone with an insane collection like me), this should hold most, if not all, of your makeup collection, making it a good product to invest in if you’re wanting solid makeup storage. This is the clear organizational storage design that Kim Kardashian made very popular.

For most people, the upper drawers can be used for eyeshadows and blushes. The bottom drawer is perfect for nail polish or lipstick. The middle drawers can fit eyeliners, mascaras, etc.

For someone like me, I want more drawers large enough to hold more lipsticks standing upright. It really only can hold a fraction of mine. This organizer is definitely an improvement over my 10 drawer organizers from Staples, meaning I don’t have to sift through a much larger drawer to try and find the correct lipstick since these drawers have the X dividers in each one. However, I should point out that I’ve spent around $220 on my current makeup storage units (and got them on sale, because it would have been probably closer to $275), so this is reasonably priced in my opinion, compared to what I’ve spent.

If you’re in the market for more makeup storage, this is a good choice.

Have you heard of the eDiva Princess? What do you think of it?

  1. It looks good, but I think it’s just way too expensive. For less than that I can get two IKEA Alex 9-drawer units, which would hold a *lot* more–probably all of my stash if I organize it well. That wouldn’t hold all my makeup by a long shot and if I’m going to spend $300 on storage, it better hold everything. (the Alex drawer units are my plan, once we build some bookcases and get those out of my office *g* )

    1. blueraccoon Link me to the Alex? I’ve never heard of it. Like I mentioned, I have the ikea Helmer for nail polish.

      1. Phyrra http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50192822/ I want two of these 🙂

  2. Oh my I need this in my life! I have so many products and I just can’t even keep up with storage any more. While it would make me cringe to shovel out almost $300 it appears to be a worthwhile investment.

    1. CreativelyYours I’ve already spent close to 300 in what I have (and probably more if I add in the costs for the stuff I got from the Container Store.

  3. That holds quite a bit!!!  And it’s so much better looking than my Sterilite and tupperware containers!!

  4. I’d love this. I know that I have more than it could hold but it would neaten my life so much!

  5. This looks awesome! Like that its clear so you can see whats located where!

    1. krystlekouture I’m not so fond of the clear design, but that’s personal taste. I’d prefer all black.

  6. Thanks for the post.  I LOL’ed when you made the comment about the average makeup lover!!  I I like the fact that it sits on a vanity or a table but I like to keep my makeup out of sight. Just don’t want to remind my hubby daily of how much money I spend 😉
I use a  clear 3  drawer RubberMaid drawer set (the one used for clothes) and I still need more storage space.

  7. Hi Phyrra! I laughed when you remarked that if you are an average makeup lover than this should hold most if not all of your collection and for ‘most people’….I think even if i fell into that category, I would still pass on this because I could probably purchase something efficient from Ikea and have an abundant amount of money left over…As it were, I use the plastic drawer towers to store my makeup (i have several) and use little plastic organizers of various shapes and sizes from the dollar store, which is far more budget friendly. 🙂   Thanks for the share, i really enjoyed reading this, this bright and sunny monday morning! 🙂

    1. telleisartistry I know I’m not average. I’ve got 1 helmer, and I really should get a second (they’re $40 each), I’ve got 3 drawer organizers. I’ve got several plastic craft organizers that I tried to use for a while (which were cheaper) but I gave up on because ultimately they didn’t make it easy for me to find what I was looking for. I’ve got a tackle box that i tried for eyeshadows for a while. The nice thing about the eDiva in comparison is that it is more compact than what I have. I can definiteloy see why the higher price is a turn off, which is why I calculated what I’ve spent vs. it.

  8. I’ve never heard of this brand. I purchased the MUJI organizers a couple years ago and honestly they’ve been the best storage investments ever. I can’t recommend them enough.

    1. bcrueltyfree I absolutely love my Muji drawers! They are the best storage drawers I have gotten, they are super well made and the acrylic is really thick unlike ones I bought other places. And they hold a ton. I have 2 large two drawers, about 4 5 drawers and a 3 drawer. I placed them in an Ikea shelf and it’s the most organized I have ever been haha.

    1. charismafulltv If you don’t have a huge makeup collection, it may not be something you’d even use. When I didn’t collect makeup like I do now, I could get away with 1 drawer for everything.
