Easy Daytime to Nighttime Duochrome Looks

Today I have two easy daytime to nighttime duochrome looks to share with you. I actually shot a video on this but I was out of frame for about half of the tutorial (I’m a one woman show, so there’s no one to tell me if I drift out of frame), so I was disappointed at that, but decided I’d still share the photos with you. I was really excited because I showed how well the  UD green color corrector works for me, so I’ll have to do it again.

Easy Daytime to Nighttime Duochrome Looks

Shade Descriptions
Chi – cool toned nude beige
Amphisbaena – cool greyed mauve
Rapture – deep mauve shimmer
TBT – deep mauve
Almond Truffle – dark pink matte
Bordeaux – deep dark burgundy brown matte
Phantom – a white base with violet purple reflects.
Sugar Rush – a translucent base with icy blue and purple reflects.
Typhoon – a deep teal base with green and gold reflects.
Earl Grey – blue-toned charcoal grey satin-matte

Easy Daytime Duochrome Look

1. Apply Lock It Primer
2. Apply Liberatus to the crease and browbone.
3. Apply Almond Truffle to the lid, crease, and lower lid.
4. Apply Bordeaux to the inner lid, outer lid, inner crease, outer crease, and inner lower lid and outer lower lid.
5. Apply Phantom to the center of the lid and lower lid.
6. Line the upper lash line and outer lower lash line with Tarte Clay Paint Liner in Black.
7. Highlight under the eyebrows and at the inner corner with Sugar Rush.

Kat Von D Lock It Primer in Fair
Kat Von D Liberatus (Shade + Light) – base shade
Too Faced Almond Truffle (Chocolate Bon Bons) – wash of color on lid, crease (hood) and lower lid
Too Faced Bordeaux (Chocolate Bon Bons) – inner and outer v, blended into inner and outer crease (hood)
Makeup Geek Phantom – center of lid and lower lid
Makeup Geek Sugar Rush – highlight under brows and at inner corner

To Go from Daytime to Nighttime

1. Layer Typhoon on the lid, inner v, and inner lower lid.
2. Add more Bordeaux to the outer crease.
3. Deepen the outer crease and outer lower lid with Earl Grey.

The daytime eye look is pinky-mauvey-burgundy with a hint of purple. I kept with the mauve tones with the cheeks. I tried the Tarte TBT lipstick, which says it’s a mauve, but it looks like it has a lot of brown in it.

For nighttime, I layered Typhoon on top of Phanton, which really brings out the blue tones in Typhoon. Bordeaux brings out the golden green in Typhoon. Ear Grey was perfect to deepen the crease and cool off the burgundy a bit without having it get too dark.

I don’t like how TBT looks on me, as it has a lot more brown than I expected. It’s disappointing. UD Native + Ex-Girlfriend is one of my favorite MLBB type lip looks.  As much as I love the combo of UD Bittersweet + Speedball (and I really really need to wear this combo more often, SO GORGEOUS), I don’t like it with this look. I like the red Ofra Kathleenlights Havana Nights lipstick the best.
