Cruelty Free Winter Beauty Must Haves

Winter is hard on my skin! I have sensitive, dry skin, so I’m always trying to keep it well moisturized and happy to keep flakies at bay. So today I’m sharing my cruelty free winter beauty must haves. In the winter, I really like to layer my serums and moisturizers to maximize the benefits for my skin. I go from thinnest to thickest textures.

PR + purchased by me.

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Light Review

Josie Maran Argan Oil & Argan Oil Light – $16 & up
This is really a multi-purpose miracle oil. It’s able to deeply hydrate and nourish my skin. It’s also good for your hair, both for the ends as well as your scalp. You can use it on your cuticles too. Just a drop mixed into foundation to help prevent it from emphasizing dryness. It layers well with serums, too. This is the first thing I like to layer onto my skin. Argan Oil is the #1 product that I recommend to people when they ask for a boost in hydration. The Argan Oil Light is especially good to mix into foundation to have it apply nicely to the skin. (vegan)
Holy Snails Shark Sauce Serum Review - Korean Beauty

Holy Snails Shark Sauce – $29
Shark Sauce has become my go-to serum. I use it twice a day. It’s a very hydrating serum that has 5% niacinamide, 3% acetyl glucosamine, panthenol, licorice root, green tea extract, hyaluronic acid, sodium lactate and sea kelp bioferment. It helps to hydrate and lock in moisture. This is thicker than argan oil but thinner than my It Cosmetics Serum.

Winter Beauty Must Haves

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Lines Serum – $58
The It Cosmetics Bye Bye Serum is a thicker serum that really helps to plump and moisturize the skin. I really love the texture of it. I like to layer this serum. I’ll apply Argan Oil first, Shark Sauce second, and this serum third.

Paula's Choice Calm Redness Relief Skincare

Paula’s Choice Calm Redness Relief Moisturizer – $29
This is a lovely, rich moisturizer that I use at night that soothes my skin. I like it for travel, especially.

Cruelty Free Winter Beauty Must Haves

Paula’s Choice Radiance Renewal Mask – $36
I like to put the Radiance Renewal Mask on my face at least once a week since it’s a great sleeping mask. It goes on top of my night time moisturizer.

Sephora VIB Sale Recommendations

Foreo Luna Mini – $99
My skin hasn’t been dehydrated since I ditched soda and switched to water. However, since I still have dry skin, I’m likely to get flakes if I don’t exfoliate. This gently but effectively cleans and removes any dry patches I have without irritating my sensitive skin.

Josie Maran SPF 47 Moisturizer

Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47
Right now, since I’m in the cold climate of Indiana, I’m using this as my daily moisturizer. It’s very hydrating and soothing for my sensitive skin.

The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter
This has been great for keeping the rest of my body moisturized and soft! It’s perfect for cold, dry weather.

My winter skincare routine while I’m traveling here in Indiana is very basic. I was using the Metrin Skincare System (read about that here), but I didn’t want to travel with all of those products so I chose a small kit of products for travel.

  1. I need to try that Paula’s Choice Redness Relief moisturizer . . . wonder if it’s more moisturizing than Dermadoctor’s Calm, Cool & Corrected.

  2. I got Pai Rosehip Oil 10 days ago and it’s such a saver for winter! Stockholm is really windy and the weather is just harsh on skin so something extra is a must have for me! Even though I’ve used this oil for a short time, I’m more than thrilled! I feel and see instant change 🙂

I even convinced my husband to use it! 😀

  3. Layering your serums is a really good idea. I do the same thing. Except I use the Physicians Formula Argon Oil – it is amazing. Love Paula’s Choice products – they are fantastic.

  4. Twinsies! We both have the lovely Body Shop buttuh. Love.it. ALSO, I can’t wait to try that It Cosmetics serum. I’m waiting until I finish up another one before I give that one a try.

  5. Great choices. I use the IT Serum every night. I really am enjoying it. PC is always on target.
