Happy Teal Thursday! I wanted to share some Catrice eyeshadows with you. I picked these up quite some time ago from Ulta Beauty. I swatched them on bare skin with my finger tip. The Liquid Metal eyeshadows are supposed to impart lots of liquid metal shine. The Velvet Matts are supposed to be ultra-soft and blendable.

Welcome to Greysland (Velvet Matt)
This is a light grey, however it’s not a matte at all, to my eyes. It’s got more of a sheen.

A really lovely burgundy with a sheen. Not matte.

Nougat it Right (Liquid Metal)
This is a light silvery mauve. It’s very eye brightening.

What Do You Sea? (Liquid Metal)
Deep smoky teal. This had the least pigmentation of the 4, but still was nice on bare skin. It really pops on primer and it’s perfect on a black base for a teal smoky eye.

Welcome to Greysland – Al Burgundy – Nougat it Right – What do you Sea?

I thought the texture of these four eyeshadows was particularly nice. They’ve got a pretty buttery feel. And for the price – $4.99 for .11 and .12 respectively – they’re hard to beat! They have a limited shade range though.

  4. I have read about these shadows and they look really lovely – especially the teal one. Just beautiful.

    1. I agree, I think they’re velvety or satiny more than matte. But I think that extra bit of subtle shimmer makes them easier to blend.

  6. Wow! I haven’t seen these at my Ulta store yet. I hope they show up soon. I’d like to get some. Nice that the mattes aren’t really matte, too. I prefer shiny colors!
