BFTE Coffee Collection v.2 Review

BFTE Coffee Collection 2 Review Swatches

The BFTE Coffee Collection v.2 is here! BFTE under new ownership from my friend Kim (and former Central Florida Beauty Blogger), has released their first collection. The original Coffee collection was super popular, so Kim created 4 new shades to go with it. You can see them in my video here.

BFTE Coffee Collection 2 Review Swatches

My Color Descriptions
The Last Drop
– deep blackened brown with subtle gold and copper iridescence

Turkish Coffee – warm brown with copper and gold iridescence

Java Junkie – light grey taupe that turns brown around the edges, depending how you blend it

Foam on the Top – matte light cream

A typical BFTE eyeshadow is $6.50, so the collection isn’t discounted. Each shadow contains 1 to 3 grams of product. 1 gram is .035 oz and 3 grams equals .105 oz. BFTE’s jars do have sifters but they’re stuffed quite full of product. A typical eyeshadow from Urban Decay is .05 oz for $18, so I think BFTE is an excellent value for the price.

If you are a fan of neutrals you will love this collection. These are four workhorse neutral shades that are very versatile. I think Foam on the top is perfect as a base shade or a matte highlighter. Java Junkie will make a great lid shade. The Last Drop is a gorgeous liner and contour color. Turkish Coffee is a difficult shade for me to wear since warm / red shimmery browns are hard with my complexion, but they work well for for many other complexions. You can use these 4 colors together, or to compliment brighter colors.

What do you think of the new BFTE Coffee Collection v.2?

Pros

  • Cruelty free
  • 4 essential, versatile, neutral colors
  • Great value for the price

Cons

  • Skip this collection if you don’t like neutrals
  • Colors only sold in this collection, not individually

  1. Love the names of the shades, so true to the theme in a cute way!

  2. Foam on the Top looks like a workhorse! Reminds me a lot of MAC Orb that I use almost daily but that I won’t repurchase. Lovely collection!
