Becca Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Eye Palette Swatches

The eyeshadow palette was pulled because the quality wasn’t up to Becca’s normal products.

Chardonnay
a sheer gold with undertones of pink and flashes of soft yellow
This was a nearly invisible sheer gold metallic on me. Terrible in my opinion.

Champagne Toast
a reflective peach with a dash of cinnamon
This is a pretty metallic peach but it needs to be built up.

Cordial
a matte rose with warm undertones
This reminded me of Urban Decay Laced (light pink taupe matte). It was better than Champagne Toast.

Cognac
a flattering matte coffee
This is a slightly deep warm brown matte. It was ok. You probably have a million shades like it in your collection.

Bordeaux
a matte rich wine with chocolate undertones
This is supposed to be a burgundy brown. It applied terribly. I even tried swatching it twice. For a similar shade, Urban Decay x Gwen has Punk (currently on sale for $39, 30% off, see my review). Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons has Bordeaux, the same shade with the same name, only a much better formula than the Becca formula.

The Champagne Face palette is much  better quality. However, I think it’s better for darker skintones than mine. The only shades I would wear in the palette are Rose Spritz and Pamplemousse. Prosecco Pop and Champagne Pop are too dark to be highlighters on my skintone.

Champagne Pop
a white gold with pinky peach undertones

Prosecco Pop
a medium warm gold inspired by liquid gold

Rose Spritz
a soft peach pink with pale gold shimmer
This is really gorgeous and I like the texture, but you probably have something like it in your collection like Urban Decay Score or NARS Orgasm.

Amaretto
a matte toasted almond

Pamplemousse
a matte warm coral pink

Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector swatches

The pressed version of Champagne Pop has the most intense highlight, which I really like the finish. I wish the color was lighter so that it would work on my skintone. If you like your highlighter to be seen from a distance, this is what you want. The creme version is the most subtle, so if you like a subtle and refined highlighter, this is what you want. The liquid version can be mixed into your primer, foundation, moisturizer, just about anything you want.

If you like this video, give it a thumbs up and share!

I personally wouldn’t recommend the eyeshadow palette, but it’s not available any longer anyways. Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette is less than the price of the Becca x Jaclyn Hill palette right now, and it has 15 shades vs. 5. So if you are thinking about an eyeshadow palette, that might be a good one to snag.

I would only recommend the face palette if you can wear all 5 shades. If you’ll only wear 1 or 2, I would skip it. I do recommend the highlighters if you don’t have pale skin like mine. I do think they’re gorgeous.

What do you think of the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection?

  1. Yes my friend just got into the Shimmering Skin Perfectors, she likes more shimmer than I do!But the poured I would like, they have a good shade selection at Blish. I would not by the palette because of the reasons you gave, it really wouldn’t be a “highlight” palette for me, I do love Becca Blushes, the Luminous Blush collection is pretty, a highlight/blush in one, and thank you!; I love that you explained the difference in the other post too between the pressed and the Poured, so a different shade -my friend Gina who also follows you, and loves your site-she just doesn’t have that much time because she is a stay at home mom with a toddler so I share it with her ! l want to get Champagne Pop for her, it would be perf. . I agree, it doesn’t make sense price wise for me-when there are so many palettes that do, I would rather buy a 3 shade or a single that would work better! and the UD Gwen Shadow Collection is $39,as you said! and I also want the Dual Intensity Blush Palette(which DOES have a highlight shade that works on fair skintones for sure, and it has a contour shade(and on the DI’s you can control how much you apply really well. Available July 1st. Buy the way the shadows are totally disappointing-forget the hype on that and get the Ombre Rouge palette!: It’s a beautiful palette(just the same as Ombre Nudes that I have which is AMAZING) and those shades double as blush too!

  2. I love the look of Champagne Pop, but I’m not sure if I’d like it on me. I think I’d need to see it in person. The face palette does look amazing though.

  3. I bought the entire collection on the first release and I loved the eyeshadow palette! I think I got one of the good ones… it does have a slight odor which none of my other BECCA palettes have. I didn’t even notice it until after I did my review and someone asked. It’s a shame they sent it to a different lab that screwed the quality on them =(

  4. I only bought the face palette and LOVE IT SO MUCH! It’s become one of my fave palettes EVER…and that’s saying something!

  5. The face palette looks AMAZING! You can tell that the eyeshadow palette isn’t up to par with their other palettes just from the swatches. It shows their integrity! <3

  6. I was on the edge about this collection at first but I can see that it would be a waste for me to have it. I hope that Becca comes out with an amazing eyeshadow palette to show what they are capable of doing.
