My Thoughts
I’ve completely fallen in love with the Wine Elixir eye and lip cream. The texture is so buttery to me. When you apply it to the skin it feels silky smooth and absorbs well. I’ve been applying it around my lips as well as my eyes at night. It does a great job with hydrating both areas. The texture is really unlike any other eye cream that I’ve tried. Most of them feel very wet in comparison, but this doesn’t feel dry like a balm. Instead, it really feels like butter.
It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. It’s soothing to my eyes and lips! I feel like it does a great job of hydrating the skin and making the fine lines around my eyes disappear.
Now, there are a few things I dislike about the product. One, I hate the jar packaging. I hate hate hate jar packaging. Two, I feel like you get very little amount of product for the price. .51 fl. oz is a very small amount for $45. Which brings me to three, I feel like $45 is very high for the eye cream, especially when you consider that it is less than 1 oz of product. I will be writing an email to APIVITA to implore them to consider an airless pump package or a tube. It always kills me when I try a wonderful product and it comes in a jar.
Despite those flaws (and I do realize it’s a personal preference that I hate jar packaging and feel like anti-aging products are less stable in them), I still really love the Wine Elixir eye and lip cream. The texture is like no other that I’ve tried. I love that it’s suitable for use around both the eyes and lips. I do feel like I’ve seen a reduction in my fine lines around my lips and eyes from using it. If you are looking for a new eye and lip cream, this one really caused me to fall head over heels for it and I definitely think it’s worth checking out. I believe in the power of red wine!
What is your favorite anti-aging eye and lip cream? What is your favorite packaging for such products?
I don’t normally use eye cream, but I don’t really have fine lines or puffiness. But I’m tempted to try this anyway. I did pick up the cleanser you reviewed but haven’t tried it yet 🙂
I really hate jars, as well. I always say, “Tubes, not tubs!” But I have trouble finding eye cream in tubes that seems moisturizing enough.
Sounds good! I am currently using Rodial’s bee venom eye cream. I love everything about it, so I am in love with it like you are in love with this one 🙂
Oooh, I love eye cream. This sounds like something that needs to be at my house!
Sounds like a lovely eye cream!
I agree, I really dislike jar packaging as well. But everything else seems great so I may have to give it a try.
