Tell me, what deals will you be taking advantage of during the 21 Days of Cruelty Free Beauty at Ulta Beauty?

  1. Recently, Tarte Cosmetics sold out to KOSE, a non-cruelty free Japanese brand. They argue that the brand can still deem itself cruelty free, as the Tarte products are not tested on animals and Tarte is not sold in China, which requires animal testing before cosmetics go on the market. DISAGREE! Their money is still going to KOSE, which does test on animals.

    1. Hi! I have that noted on my cruelty free list. I choose to support companies on my blog that are cruelty free, even if their parent company is not cruelty free because I think it will lead to the eventual elimination of animal testing. It’s like when you shop for cruelty free products at Sephora, and don’t buy the non cruelty free products, you’re sending a message with your money.

  2. I’m so bummed, I didn’t see the list until Monday and I would have loved to have gotten the IT Cosmetics powder. I use it almost every day. Oh, well! Will definitely go in for the Butter polishes and possibly the IT Cosmetics brush.

  3. Good to know that Japonesque is cruelty-free because their Color Luminous Foundation is a “Hot Buy” 50% off deal for this event and I have been wanting to try it since it is a dupe for the Armani Luminous Silk foundation.

  4. I Love that Ulta is Doing This and it’s Something that is Important to a Lot of Us! My Birthday is on St. Patrick’s Day and My Mom Said She Would Take Me to Ulta for My Birthday and I Noticed that They Have UD Lippies on Sale that Day Too! I Really Like Sephora Better but Ulta is Much Closer to Where I Live So We Usually Go There! They Don’t Carry Some of the Brands that Sephora Does Like MAC (I Think) & of Course the Sephora Brand, Which I Love Better than the Ulta Brand Products! Anyways Thanks for the Heads Up Courtney, Have a Good Afternoon! – Jana

  5. I will be hunting down those nail lacquers! I’m super excited for this promotion!

  6. I am just downright envious – we don’t have anything like Ulta here in Aus. The only happy makeup news I have to report is that Sleek can now be purchased at our local Target stores. Their products are amazing.

  7. I’ve been trying not to buy…I’ve unexpectedly become foster mom to a formerly feral cat. Who knew a free cat could cost so much money (at the vet)? But this is terrific. I love when attention is drawn to cruelty-free lines. China is my cutoff…if a line is sold in China, I won’t buy.

  8. it sound great but so many brands that are not available over here and if they where they would be pretty expensive

      1. smash box, it cosmetic, UD , tarte , Laura Geller, Pur cosmetics, are also not available here. TBH the stores here have a very strange reaction when you decline to buy their stuff , they insist when you give them the reason behind your decision the look you with a face, and I even have a lady in drugstore that rolls her eyes when she sees me cause I said to her I really don’t want to buy Maybelline or Revlon cause they are not cruelty free.

        1. You’re welcome! I email brands directly, consult with my friends Jen / My Beauty Bunny and Tashina / Logical Harmony, research PETA, Leaping Bunny, Paula’s Choice and NAVS. That’s how I created my list and how I maintain it.

  9. Thanks, as always, for the list! I want to pick up a couple more of the UD Sheer Revolution Lipsticks.
