Urban Decay Black Magic Black Velvet, Smoke, Zero, Demolition, Swatches Review
Black Velvet + Smoke – rich, smoky black matte, deepest grey matte
Zero + Demolition – zealous black cream, deep brown matte

Urban Decay Black Magic Perversion, LSD, Black Market, Tornado Swatches
Perversion + LSD – blackest black matte, navy shimmer with bright turquoise microsparkle
Black Market + Tornado – charcoal black satin, dark eggplant pearl

The Perversion + LSD pencil is a match made in Heaven. Seriously, Perversion is my favorite black from Urban Decay. It makes a great base on your lid if you’re playing with duochrome shades. LSD is a long time favorite of mine. The turquoise sparkle is gorgeous in it. I like the Black Market and Tornado duo, too. I’m not a fan of Zero, but that’s because Perversion is amazing.

I think the concept of pairing black + some of the UD bright shades is genius. I would have chosen Ether instead of Smoke, and Scorch instead of Demolition.

What do you think of the Black Magic pencil set? What shades would you like to see paired together?

  1. I would be all about this if they were sold individually. I like the black+bright pairing, but I have so many grey and brown (ok, yes and black too, but I don’t have Perversion!) that the first two don’t overwhelm me with excitement. I would definitely go for the other pencil set.

  2. I think it needs a few more bright shades in there for my taste! To answer your question I would like to see a black satin matched with a sparkly gold or a deep, deep satiny purple with a sparkly silver or a satiny brown with a sparkly bronze!!! So hard to choose!!!

      1. Yes, thanks, I saw that one. I just think for the double ended ones there should be a few more bright colors in there to have more choices.
