NARS Smokey Divinity Tutorial

NARS Smokey Divinity Tutorial

Today I’ve got a tutorial featuring a ton of new products! It’s called NARS Smokey Divinity Tutorial. I used the NARS NARSissist Smokey Eye Set, Urban Decay Instalure Demi Lashes, Nyx Eyebrow Gel in Black, Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Gothica, and NARS Blush in Unlawful.

I planned this look all around Gothica. I wanted something that would work with it. I realized that NARS Unlawful would be perfect as a blush and the NARSissist Smokey Eye Set would work for my eyes.

Lashes, even demi lashes, are supposed to be great for hooded eyes. These lashes actually were the easiest that I have applied in years. I don’t know if I’m getting better or if it’s the specific shape of these lashes, but I applied them in less than 5 minutes total.

The moment Dave saw my look he said it reminded him of a game he plays called Divinity Original Sin. I guess there’s a Sweet Almond look in game and the colors I’m wearing are reminiscent of it.

These are not colors I normally wear, but I love how the look turned out. I’m really glad that I picked up Gothica, because it’s quite unique in my collection. The NARSissist Smokey Eye Set shades worked together nicely and I’m happy with my eyeshadow.

I need to lighten my roots and dye them so bad! The rest of my hair color is going strong. Pravana Vivid Violet is pretty amazing.

I have a plumber coming to see me today about my bathroom. I have pipes on the wall that need to be capped, sink fixtures installed and a pipe to connect from the bottom of the sink to the outside. Once that is all done, I can hang the cabinets on the wall and then share my Before and After Pictures.

How are you doing? Would you wear this look? What do you think of Gothica?

  1. The look is pretty. Gothica is lovely! I just bought Thin Lizzy and Wolvesmouth — can’t wait to get them.

  2. BEAUTIFUL. I love it. Honestly, just by looking at it and don’t take this the wrong way… it has an almost raunchy look to it in a subtle way. Not trying to sound nasty… but it just looks sultry like that, ya know… all in a great way

  3. I love the neutral smokey eye look ! I’m going to search for a tutorial or post on how you originally changed your hair to a colored

  4. This is such a gorgeous look! I am loving the NYX brow gel on you. The KvD lipstick is so pretty and unique. I love the gold shimmer!

  5. It’s amazing how different you can make yourself look! You took me back in time with these power brows and heavy shadows, and it’s fierce! Like, you could kill someone with a look!

  6. This dark eye look is so beautiful with your eye colour! Gothica is gorgeous on you! And dang, I wish Nyx UK would release all the items that Nyx US has this year – we still don’t have the Macaron Lipsticks or Angel Veil and I’m dying to try this Eyebrow Gel!! Awesome tutorial!!

  7. Very pretty! The shadows do tie in nicely with Gothica, while letting the lips take center stage. Is the color with the orange-ish microflecks, Madrague 1? (My Sephora order should arrive today, with Wolvesmouth, Lolita, and Bachelorette. Looking forward to playing with my new goodies!)

  8. Ooooo, your eyes really pop with this look! I love how Gothica completes the look. I never thought I would like that lipstick from your swatch the other day!

  9. I really like this look! I need to try some more half lashes to see if I find a kind I really like. Are you allergic to all lash glues or just the latex kind? I want to check out House of Lashes glue to see if I like it more than Ardell Duo which I do like, but, you know….testing purposes 🙂

    1. I don’t know. I know what I was using was the ardell glue and it made my eyelids swell and my eyes water. I used to be fine with it, but now I don’t risk it at all. I do like the fantabulash tape.
