I Love Nail Polish Birefringence and Nail Veils

Quite a while ago I purchased I Love Nail Polish Birefringence and ever since I’ve been trying to get pictures that capture all the different color flashes the polish is capable of. I’ve caught it on video, but it’s been elusive for me on camera.  Let me just tell you, this polish is stunning! Every time I wear it I’m asked, ‘what is on your nails? I need that!’

I’ve also got on an awesome Nail Veil which goes beautifully with the polish. I wore these two together to a wedding this weekend.

You can see the gold and subtle green on my index finger here. You can see red / burgundy on my thumb. My pinky looks purple. The other nails look blue and purple.

On my Nails

• Cult Nails Get it On Base Coat
• I Love Nail Polish Birefringence (2 coats)
• KB Shimmer Top Coat
• White Bronze Rounded Veil

Using my favorite base coat and top coat I get 3 to 4 days of wear before I see chips with this. This is a pigment heavy polish and you don’t need a base coat of anything else under it to make the multichrome effect show up. However, because it’s pigment heavy, that means it’s a thicker polish. I could probably extend the wear by a day or two  using a thinner top coat.

Regardless, I think my nails look stunning in I Love Nail Polish Birefringence. If you’ve been thinking about taking the plunge and giving multichromes a try, I highly recommend Birefringence. Trust me, you will get compliments on it!
