Literary Lacquers Wrinkle in Time Collection
I’m happy to show you the latest stunner from Literary Lacquers. This is the Wrinkle in Time Collection, inspired by The Wrinkle in Time Quintet by Madeleine L’Engle. I loved this series as a kid.

A royal purple linear holo with purple and silver holo sparkle added
Megatron is inspired by the nickname of Meg Murry, our awkward but loveable square-peg of a heroine. Meg’s struggle in the book is one of learning to embrace her idiosyncrasies, to see her faults and differences as strengths.
I love Megatron. It’s a mid-tone purple with very strong holo iridescence.
Tesseract
A pearly linear holographic policy – best at 3 thin coats
A tesseract is the method by which the characters travel through time and space in an instant.
I love the fiery iridescence in this white pearly polish.
Swallowed Up in Blue
A sky blue linear holo with a strong pink/red shimmer
This polish represents Charles Wallace, the third of our trio of young adventurers. Charles Wallace Murry is a precocious five-year-old boy, the youngest son of the Murrys.
This reminds me of a Morgana Cryptoria lipstick, Fire in the Sky. It’s gorgeous and the pink iridescence (which you can see in the lower right of the swatch above) is much more visible in person.
Camazotz
A black linear holo with a blue/red shift
Camazotz is the planet that has been swallowed up completely by the Dark Thing. Mr. Murry is being held captive there by IT, the evil disembodied brain that controls everything on Camazotz.
I love this one. The blue and purple shift are strong, and it often looks purple, depending on the light. It can be a blackened purple, too. I think that’s why I love it so much. It’s dark but all the shifting makes it a stunner.
Strong Steady Hand
A sparkling coral holo loaded with masses of holo sparkle
Strong Steady Hand is Calvin O’Keefe’s polish. In A Wrinkle in Time, Calvin is mentioned over and over as being strong and having a steady hand for Meg, taking her hand over and over again to reassure her and give her strength.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the finish on this one! The holo glitter in it is gorgeous! I need this in ALL THE TEALS and ALL THE BLUES! Pretty please?
Aunt Beast
A tarnished silver linear holo packed with taupe microflakies – a true neutral
Aunt Beast is one of the aliens on the planet that the Murrys and Calvin tesser to in order to escape IT and Camazotz. The entire planet is grey and brown, largely colorless, and it turns out that the beings on this planet have no eyes and no mouths.
This is a very pretty color and I do like the tarnished effect, as it’s not your typical silver holo.
Who Which Whatsit
A lime green linear holo with green shimmer
The three Mrs. Ws, Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Whatsit are the mysterious women who find the Murry children and Calvin on Earth and lead them on their adventure to rescue the missing Mr. Murry from the evil Dark Thing.
This is a pretty lime green, about the color of the outside of a lime.
Happy Medium
A bright yellow linear holo with yellow microflakes
The Happy Medium lives on a planet where everything has been evened out to a medium gray, but she herself is a different kind of “medium,”. And she is indeed happy, though it seems she gets to be that way through pretending unhappy things don’t exist.
This is a rich bright yellow. I dare you not to think of the song Because I’m Happy when you see this one. If you love yellow and holos, you will adore this shade.
L to R – Who Which Whatsit, Happy Medium, Strong Steady Hand
L to R – Tesseract – Aunt Beast – Camazotz – Swallowed Up in Blue – Megatron
Megatron is slightly more midtone / richer than what you see here
I LOVE Camazotz! It’s such a complex black, never boring! And it looks great with purple. It can look black, charcoal grey, midnight blue, purple, blackened red… it’s just such a beautiful color! I also love Swallowed Up in Blue and Tesseract. I really love the finish of Strong Steady Hand and hope to see it in ALL THE TEAL BLUES and ALL THE PURPLES 😛
If you are a fan of beautiful holos, you will love this collection. I hope that you’ve read and heard of A Wrinkle in Time, too, so you can appreciate the inspiration. I read A Wrinkle in Time around the same time that I read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe series.
What do you think of the Literary Lacquers Wrinkle in Time Collection?
these are gorgeous! and I love that book 🙂
Love these! I’m wearing Aunt Beast right now!
Oh my gosh! This is the first time I heard a nail polish x literature theme! This really caught my eye and tickle my curiosity as a bookworm. But I agree with you the Megatron and the Camazots are so eye-catching! Have a nice day! 🙂

These are gorgeous! LL makes awesome shades.
I loved those books, too! They look so pretty 🙂
Gorgeous! Who doesn’t love a good holo. Do you think Tesseract could be worn as a topper on another polish, or is it best on it’s own?
these are all soooo beautiful!!!!
Camazotz is absolutely wonderful! I love love love that color!
Swallowed Up in Blue looks GOR-GEOUS! I have tried one polish from this brand before and the quality was really nice!
OMG! A Wrinkle In Time was my favourite book as a kid – I remember hiding out in the hedge surrounding the library down the street from my house reading this cover to cover (I was a total library nerd and always read my books hiding in the hedge!). I rarely paint my fingernails (always toes) but if I really can get these shipped to the UK I’m going to have to have them all and will HAVE to use them on my fingernails! They are all gorgeous! Awesome post – thank you thank you!!
I have not tried this brand but I have to agree with you on Strong Steady Hand, I love the huge sparkles in it, I also love Tesserat, and Who Which Whatsit! I haven’t read this, but I love all the descriptions for each of the names!!!
