The Website Says
This long-wear lipstick from Kat Von D stains your luscious lips with striking color, from flashy brights to smoldering neutrals. The liquid formula goes on wet for smooth, precise application and then dries to a matte, velvety finish. Once applied, there’s no need to worry about smudging or migrating.

Outlaw is a beautiful red. Backstage Bambi is a bright neon pink. Jeffree is a bright coral, also verging on neon. Here are the colors partially dry.

Now for me, these long wearing lipsticks last over 12 hours, through breakfast lunch and dinner, countless drinks of water, and still keep going. I have to use makeup remover to get them off. They don’t make a claim of precisely how long they wear, but they wear long enough for me! I greatly appreciate their formula, even though it is a bit drying, because it doesn’t come off or budge, not on my teeth, not on anything. I wore mine when I worked at Premiere Beauty Orlando so that I didn’t have to think about re-applying lipstick. I could do minimal makeup with bright lips and it was easy. I also wore them to Chicago BlogHer, and a friend’s wedding. I really like the formula.

Before I apply these, I exfoliate my lips, then I moisturize them, and finally I dab off any excess moisturizer, then I apply the liquid lipsticks. If you skip doing this, you will hate the results and they will dry your lips out. After you take them off, you need to use a heavy duty moisturizer on your lips as well. You may also want to use a lip liner like Urban Decay Ozone or Anarchy to make sure that you precisely apply the color inside your lip line. Once these babies are set, they’re hard to get off.

I love the 3 shades I have, as all three colors are gorgeous. I should probably pick up another shade, like Lolita (pinky-brown) for when I need a more neutral toned lippy.

I feel like the Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipsticks are reasonably priced at $19 for .18 oz. These work better for me than any other liquid lipstick that I’ve tried to date, though I’m always on the look for more! I’d love it if they came with some fall friendly shades, like a deep burgundy wine, a purple, or a black. Of course, a teal blue would be adored, too.

What do you think of the Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipsticks? Do you like long wearing liquid lipsticks that dry down?

  1. Oh man, I wish I had read this yesterday before I made my Sephora.com order! I’ve been wondering about the Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks for a while and they just look so good. I think they’ll be going in my Sephora cart, waiting for my next checkout!

  2. Backstage Bambi has my name all over it. That is friggin stunning. I am so in love with liquid lipsticks at the moment.

  3. Hey, Phyrra! Do you remember what bases you were wearing in these photos? The color matches your skin so well, especially the last one!

  4. I an intrigued by these. I may just pick one up. It would be nice to have a set it and forget it lippie on hand for those screaming busy days when I don’t want to fuss. 🙂

  5. I LOVE these. I got them on a whim in January and I have been hooked all year. I couldn’t stand the extreme dryness at first but now I don’t even notice. Love how they stay put in the FL heat!

  6. I need to get out of my comfort zone and try more Kat Von D products.  I only own her nail polishes!

  7. I love everything Kat Von D puts out. She makes my all time favorite liquid eyeliner. These look amazing, perfect for a long day or event. And $19 isn’t even that bad!

  8. No problem Holly! I really think the Supergoop Moisturizer and lip balm are great. Another great choice is Paula’s Choice. I have their SPF 15 clear lipbalm that I’ll use sometimes, and they have good moisturizers and moisturizers with SPF. None of their products irritate my sensitive, rosacea, oily t-zone skin.

  9. That’s right, I was trying to remember the face moisturizer you had recommended and it was Supergoop. I’ve been trying to find a good face moisturizer but a lot of them burn my skin, so I was going to try this one. Thanks for all the help.

  10. Phyrra Thanks! I have several Morgana Cryptoria lipsticks and balms, they’re really good! I will keep an eye on her fb for the liquid lipsticks release! sounds very exciting 😀

  11. SakuraSaku I have one of the velvetines, if I can find it I’ll let you know. I do know that I’m very excited because Morgana Cryptoria is making liquid lipsticks soon!!!!!! And I know hers will be amazing.

  12. Cool. I appreciate the link. I didn’t recognize the names, but now I realize I’ve seen Fresh before. My sister even bought some of that lip balm and was really impressed by the difference it made.

  13. I want this so badly!! but they don’t sell Kat Von D outside the USA :(((  I would also like to try other products from her. I wonder if this product is similar to the Vevetines from Lime Crime. Just to get an idea if I could get the same results

  14. Holly, I use a few different things for lips – Epically Epic Lip Balm, I have some Fresh lip balm and Supergoop! I have not yet reviewed the Nyx Face primer, testing it out. I don’t think it color corrects for my rosacea but it is a nice primer.

  15. Would like to try this lip color. You mentioned moisturizing our lips before using this product, what kind of moisturizer do you recommend? Also I think I remember catching a glimpse of a review you did on Nyx face primer, but at the time I didn’t have time to look, and now I can’t find it. Can you tell me where to find it? Thank you.

  16. I have been eyeing Outlaw for so long! I think I may just have to jump in and get it. I am with you though I would love if they came out with a wine shade! I really love the way this lipcolor looks. Dries matte and long lasting, it’s perfect!

  17. Yep. I’ll be headed to Sephora to pick a couple of these up. I’ve been hunting for the perfect long-wear lippie for my wedding day! I boiled it down to Make Up For Ever, Wet n’ Wild and Stila. I think I need to add this to the mix, as well, for colors AND your wear test!!!! Thanks for sharing the review!
