Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè Moisturizer Review

At the beginning of November, I was introduced to Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè Moisturizer (affiliate link) by James Vincent at the Makeup Show Orlando. We received a sample size of it in our blogger pack. I used it that first night and immediately rushed out the next day to buy a full size of it because I was blown away by how it brightened my skin. Finally, I’m sharing my review of the product with you!

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè
As you can see, my tube is well-loved.

The Website Claims
It is a rich moisturizing lotion. This specially formulated lotion is quite versatile; throw it in your travel bag when you don’t have enough space for numerous products. Our creamy lotion is really three products in one: the make-up artists use it as a primer, moisturizer, and make-up remover. It also reduces irritation after shaving!

$16 for 1 fl. oz.

Does it live up to its claims?
Yes! It does work as a make-up remover and as a primer. However, I prefer it as a moisturizer. I’ve been using it as a night time moisturizer, eye cream, and a perk up cream during the day. It’s soothing on my skin. It brightens my skin up. I look refreshed the next day, like I’ve had a facial.

The packaging is a tube, which I greatly prefer to a tub. I love not having to stick my fingers in it.

Would I purchase it again?
Yes! I’m so glad I was introduced to this product. It’s amazingly soothing on my face. It doesn’t cause any rosacea flare ups for me. I’ve been using it now for almost two months and love it. I think it’s a great price point for a great product.

They have a few other products that I’m curious about, including their Lait-Crème Scintillant (an illuminating moisturizer that might be a good replacement for my MAC Strobe Cream), Lait-Crème Moussant Sans Savon (a non drying cleanser), and an anti-aging cream. They even make a BB Cream!

This product has been a secret weapon for Makeup Artists for years and I can see why. It’s truly a great product and deserves its cult status.

Have you tried Embryolisse?

  1. Hi Phyrra,
The link in your post goes directly to Amazon. Can I go directly to the manufacturer’s website? This sounds like a product my skin would drink up without flaring up!
    Thanks!

  2. Phyrra, I noticed that the ingredients list in your affiliate link includes several parabens. Are there different Lait-Creme Concentre formulae floating around?

  6. My skin has become a dry mess in the past 1-2 months. Thanks for bringing this product back on my radar. I wish I were going to IMATS so I could get this. It isn’t locally available where I am.

  7. I bought the smaller size of this moisturizer yesterday because of your review, Phyrra. I can’t wait to try it out!

  8. You’ll find this at great prices at IMATS and I think the table will be right near where you’ll be. I picked up a kit of the brand last time and it’s wonderful.

  9. I just started trying the new Embryolisse anti-dark spot lightening serum! It’ll take a while before I can tell if it actually lightens my sun spots, but the ingredient list is so promisingly simple!I’ve heard SO much about this moisturizer. It’ll be the thing I grab when I’m done with my current moisturizers 🙂

  10. Fabulous review, Phyrra! I love multipurpose products, and this sounds amazing!!!! Want want want!

  11. I love this stuff!  My skin likes THICK moisturizers, and I wanted something that works as a nice base for my foundation.  Someone recommended this and I have been using it ever since! Nice and thick but it absorbs nicely but it somehow helps my foundation stick and wear better.  I don’t use anything else as a primer on top, but my mineral foundation still wears all day.  I generally don’t use it that way but it actually does do a pretty good job at removing makeup when I need it in a pinch!

  12. Can you believe I have this in my pro kit but haven’t really tried it for myself? DOH!

    1. perilouslypale That *is* a mega DOH! 🙂 tee hee! Where did you get yours, Christa? I’m also in Canada.

  13. I missed this one at the make up show… and now I feel like kicking myself. would it work on oily skin??

    1. bNiiontweet I have sensitive combo skin, and I typically am oily on my eyes and t-zone. I do fine with it, but I’m only super oily on my eyes. I don’t know how super oily skin would work with it, but it works great with combo.

  14. I’m thinking I may have gotten a fake of this from amazon. Everyone raves about it, but I didn’t like it at all. I can’t quite put my finger on why, but it just wasn’t the amazing product for me that I thought it would be. It didn’t feel moisturizing, though I have very dry skin. The smell kind of annoyed me too. It felt very….balmy?

      1. Phyrra Melissyjo  Hmm, perhaps I’ll give the illuminating one a try and order it from their website.
