For the past 3 weeks I’ve been applying the Boots New No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED Serum twice a day – once in the morning and once at night.

I take one pump and tap it onto each cheek, then my forehead and chin, and then I smooth it onto my entire face. Yes, that tiny pump will cover my entire face.

I take an additional pump to smooth on my neck and chest. If it’s daytime, I follow that up with moisturizer with SPF. If it’s nighttime, I follow that with an intense night cream.

The first thing I noticed about this serum was that directly after application it made my face feel smooth. After peeking at the ingredients, this makes sense because it has a lot of dimethicone in it, which is known for its skin smoothing properties. It really does a good job of making my face feel soft and smooth. Checking out the other ingredients I noticed that retinyl palmitate is in this list. It’s a form of vitamin A and palmitic acid, which is a good antioxidant and skin-cell regulator.

I haven’t noticed that the fine lines around my eyes are less visible. I’ll be curious to see if I notice anything else after 4 weeks. What I have noticed from using the Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Serum for 3 weeks is that my skin feels softer and it looks smoother. It actually feels soft and smooth like when I use Vitamin C, which is interesting since it doesn’t contain that ingredient. If you’re looking for a serum to help improve how your skin feels, this one has made mine feel smoother, so it may be worth checking out. I’m definitely impressed with how silky it leaves my face.
