The Best Moisturizers for Dry, Sensitive Skin

Today I’m sharing The Best Moisturizers for Dry, Sensitive Skin. As you know, I have sensitive skin that’s dry, as well as redness from rosacea. Sounds like a winning combo, right? Not so much. Good thing I’ve got these moisturizers to rely on.

Pr + purchased by me.

Night Time Moisturizers

Paula’s Choice CALM Redness Relief Moisturizer
This is my go-to nighttime moisturizer. It helps me to wake up with less redness, too. It contains a mix of antioxidants, skin smoothing emollients, and all kinds of nourishing ingredients.

Paula’s Choice SKIN RECOVERY Replenishing Moisturizer
This is another nighttime moisturizer that I’m quite fond of. It’s very hydrating, soothing and smoothing, as well as having anti-aging properties.

Paula’s Choice RADIANCE Renewal Mask
This is an overnight mask that you sleep in, which helps to brighten the complexion and hydrate the skin. My finicky skin loves it. (vegan)

Skyn Iceland Oxygen Infusion Night Cream
I’ve had several friends recommend this night cream to me. It’s suppposed to help moisturize and renew your skin. (vegan)

Lumene Vitamin C + Nourishing Night Care
I’ve had this recommended to me as a very moisturizing night cream with a brightening treatment to improve your skin’s texture.

Metrin Skincare Set
This set is meant to be used twice a day. It leaves my skin feeling well hydrated. You start by deep cleansing, then use the lathering cleanser. After that you use the vita conditioner moisturizer, the protective lotion spray, and then finish with the enriched vita conditioner moisturizer. (review coming soon)

Serums

Korres Black Pine Active Firming Sleeping Oil
This is a fast-absorbing overnight oil made up of jojoba, grape seed, argan, apricot and sweet almond oil to help restore moisture to the skin and nourish it. I like to use this as a serum underneath another moisturizer.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster
This will be your best friend during the dry, Winter months. You can add just a single drop of this to your liquid foundation, night cream or a serum and it will help add more moisture back to your skin. (vegan)

Holy Snails Shark Sauce
This is an awesome hydrating serum with 5% Niacinamide, Licorice Root and Green Tea Extracts, plus other good things. My skin loves to drink it up.

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil & 100% Pure Argan Oil Light
I love argan oil. It’s multi-purpose and my face loves it. I mix it into foundations, put it on at night before my serums, use it on the ends of my hair, my cuticles, or my scalp. (vegan)

SPF Moisturizers

Paula’s Choice CALM Redness Relief SPF 30
Gentle and soothing, this works well on a daily basis. I just wish it was SPF 50 instead of 30. It helps to reduce some of my daily redness. (vegan)

Supergoop! Skin Soothing Mineral SPF 40
Made with olive polyphenols (they have Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatt acids), this broad-spectrum sunscreen is good for my sensitive skin. It helps reduce some of the redness I have on a daily basis.

Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47
With argan oil and green tea, this is a soothing and moisturizing sunscreen, great for dry sensitive skin like mine. (vegan)

Dr. Dennis Gross Dark Spot Sun Defense SPF 50
Created with 3 forms of vitamin C and vitamin E, this is moisturizing and helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots and uneven skintone.

Body Care

The Body Shop Coconut Body Scrub
The coconut body scrub is perfect for dry skin because it gently exfoliates and moisturizes at the same time.

Fake Bake Oil Free Mistifier
I love using this immediately after I get out of the shower. I basically pat myself dry, spray this on and my skin soaks it in. Then if I need more moisturizer I use a thicker lotion or body butter.

Cocoa Pink Voluptuous Body Butter
This body butter contains over 30% organic refined shea butter, as well as Babassu, Rice Bran Oil, Avocado, Meadowfoam, and Calendula. It’s silicone free, paraben free and 100% vegan.

The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter
This is a great body butter with a tropical coconut scent to help lock in moisture for 48 hours for dry skin.

My skin is in the best shape it’s ever been in thanks in part to me putting in extra effort with my skincare routine. It also helps that I drink enough water (infused with lemons thanks to my Infuser bottle) to keep my skin from being dehydrated.

  1. Josie Maran has amazing moisturizers! I have used many products from the line in the past, and they always made my skin feel super soft and hydrated.

  2. It’s amazing that with all the skin care that I’ve used over the years I’ve never tried any of these. That oxygen night cream sounds like something that I’ve been missing out on.

  3. I have to bring my Paula’s Choice Recovery Moisturizer back out, and I think I need to pick up the HA serum now.

  4. I’m combo/dry and I love all the Paula’s Choice I’ve tried. Lots of great alternates here too.
