Products Used

  • Glossier Priming Moisturizer
  • Nyx CC Cream Green in Light/Medium
  • Cover FX Custom Cover Drops N10 (vegan) mixed with Glossier Perfecting  Skin Tint Light
  • NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder
  • Real Techniques Setting Brush
  • Beauty Blender
  • Beauty Blender Micro Mini

The Nyx CC Cream in Light is the first green tinted product that I’ve tried that actually works for me! It’s got a very light formula, so it feels like I’m wearing nothing at all. I prefer this to trying to pile on concealer or foundation. You can use any liquid foundation that you like on top of the CC Cream, and you’ll end up using less than normal.

  1. Thx for posting this video I been figuring out for years how to cover my rosacea I hardly wear makeup anymore because my face gets so red

  2. My friend suffers from rosacea, I’m sure she would love the link to this video! Will be sharing with her for sure! (:

  3. I can’t find a way to get the CC cream in the UK, but I’ve seen that NYX do a Studio Perfect primer in green. Has anyone tried this? Does anyone have any UK products they’d recommend?

  4. i LOVE boots no7 colour calming primer (i think thats the right name), it is very pigmented so i just apply it to the red blotches on my cheeks and/or mix a little in with my foundation (which is fair enough but too pink toned). i wouldn’t call it a primer myself but it really helps with colour correcting, a little goes a long way. you should definitely try it out. i’m super pale and the green is a good shade on me unlike some others

  5. WOW. I am getting that NYX CC Cream in Green/Light ASAP. My local Target just expanded the NYX section so I’m hoping to buy it tomorrow/today. If not I’m getting it online. *so excited* You are right – it literally worked magic! 😀

I’ve tried all kinds of green products and redness reducers but none have ever worked for me. I usually resort to adding higher coverage concealer to the areas that need it and/or use a full coverage foundation (thank you again for introducing me to my beloved HG, Cover FX Total Cover Cream Foundation in N0 / N Zero!). I still wish Cover FX made their Custom Cover Drops in N0. It’s my perfect shade!

I am super excited for the NYX CC Cream in Green/Light! Thank you so much for this video! I definitely want to try this routine! <333

It's a shame that there is not a Fair/Green option but I'm pretty sure my foundation will even everything out. Would mixing the NYX
CC Cream with something like Life's Entropy White Elixer work if Greeen/Light is
    too dark?

  6. Thanks for the tip on the NYX green corrector! I don’t find many of them work very well either, so I must try this! I also don’t like a lot of concealor, I don’t like any actually. It always cakes on me 🙁

  7. For redness on a client I use Stila’s corrector or Dermalogica anti redness cream, skincare is always better than just makeup.

    1. I’ve tried green moisturizers but they did nothing for me 🙁 This is the first green product to actually do something for me. Love it 🙂

  8. I have light redness on my cheeks and I find that primer and foundation do the trick. Now that I can access NYX easily (at our Target Australia store) I will give the green one a go. I’ve wondered how it works. I tried the Clinique one and it did absolutely nothing. – waste of money.

    1. I think my dr gave me the prescription version of the clinique green moisturizer and it stunk and didn’t counter redness. Yay for Target!

  9. I use a product by a german brand, P2, that has a colourcorrecting similar to the NYX one! It is very light in colour and I can use it on its own because it can be blended out to a very sheer base. I love that stuff 🙂 The foundation drops (is that a new thing? Lol) look so interesting! The coverage seems great too. Would love to try those!

  10. I have a concealer from NYX in a light green, and it works wonders when I need to cover up a spot of redness. Totally surprised me when it worked!

  11. currently I dab on foundation that’s slightly too yellow (MUFE HD 110) and add a second layer if needed, then apply my regular foundation mix over that. I’ve never had luck with the green tinted products either, it seems like only a small amount doesn’t conceal and larger is noticeably green. I’ll definitely pick up the NYX green to try.

  12. Thanks for this! I just found out that I have Rosacea – I suspected it for a while, finally a dermatologist confirmed my suspicion! I have been struggling to find the right products that cover the redness without making the problem worse. I’m definitely going to give some of these products a try!

  13. Great video tutorial, Courtney! AMAZING results! This can help so many people! I sure hope that you are feeling better after a kind of crappy day! 🙂

  14. Great video! Right now I use Clinique Redness Solutions daily protective base – it’s my “secret weapon.” Does well to cover redness and makeup doesn’t budge once it’s on. I want to try that NYC CC cream though! I also use bareMinerals correcting concealer for a few spider veins. In the summer I use Clinique Moisture Surge tinted moisturizer as foundation (it covers well with the protective base underneath) and bareMinerals Well-Rested powder over anything else I want to hide (including under eye circles) and then I set it with Mineral Veil. In the winter I use the original BareMinerals foundation instead of the Clinique tinted moisturizer.

    1. You can pick up the Nyx at Ulta if you have one close to you 🙂 I was given some green moisturizer from my derm but it didn’t seem to work. The bareMinerals Well-Rested sounds awesome!

      1. Yes I already looked it up, I’m a regular Ulta customer LOL. Right now NYX is buy one, get one 50% off so that’s good too. Green moisturizers don’t do much, they have to have a thicker texture than that. The Well-Rested powder covers EVERYTHING.
