I recently saw a grunge nail art tutorial from Chalkboard Nails that I just had to recreate, and I thought with New Year’s approaching that a color scheme of white, gold, silver and black would sort of fit into the party theme without being the typical blingy party nails.

I used a white as my base, which was actually a white stamping polish from Essence. For the gold I used Zoya Goldie, for the silver Wet n Wild Metallica, and the black was another stamping polish from Essence. This was actually pretty easy to do, and I love the final effect. I might try a few more color schemes for other occasions.

Have you ever tried grunge nails?

  1. Letitica, I like that look. I think it would be good for anytime. I’m still a nail effects newbie, so how did you get that grungey look? Also, what’s the difference between stamping polish and regular polish?

    1. If you click the link in the blog post, it takes you to the video tutorial I followed that was done by Chalkboard nails.

Stamping polish seems to dry a bit faster. I don’t truly know the difference, but it seems thinner and quick drying. Essence is the only stamping polishes I have tried.

      1. oops, the link color didn’t stand out on my monitor and I missed that. Thanks!
