Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Overnight Hydrating Cream Review

A while back Drugstore.com had a 20% off sale on skincare, so I picked up more of the Yes to Blueberries line. I decided to give their Overnight Hydrating Cream a try because I wanted to see if it could be used as an eye cream as well as a good night cream.

The Website Claims:
help improve skin firmness, protect skin, diminish fine lines and wrinkles, and nourish age-damaged skin.

The Ingredients are:
Vaccinium Cyanococcus (blueberry) Juice, Glycerin, Water, Olea Europaea (olive) Fruit Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (shea Butter), Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Behenyl Alcohol, Ethyl Palmate*, Morinda Citrifolia (noni) Fruit Extract, Helianthus Annuus (sunflower) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Cetearyl Glucoside, Sucrose Stearate, Phenethyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Xanthan Gum, Retinyl Palmitate, Potassium Hydroxide, Fragrance.

Price:
$19.99 for 1.7 fl. oz. (though I got it for 20% off at Drugstore.com)

Does it live up to its claims?
Yes. I think it’s a really nice moisturizing night cream. I definitely feel like it nourishes skin. I can use it on my eyes without any irritation. I think it does a really good job of hydrating and locking in the moisture. I wake up after using it on my eyes and the skin feels plump. It’s a good feeling. It also works well on my face and neck. Overall, I think it does a really good job at moisturizing. My only concern with it is that I don’t feel like it has as many anti-aging ingredients as I would like.

Would I purchase again?
Yes. I do have the feeling that if you have dry skin, or sensitive combination skin like mine, you will like this cream. If you’ve got super oily skin, it might be too much for you. I think the price, especially at 20% off, is reasonable for the size.

Product purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

  1. LOVE the Yes to Blueberries line! I’m equally smitten with the Yes to Cucumbers line too (so good for sensitive skin types like myself) 😀

  2. I had the Yes to Blueberries Firming Eye Cream in my hand yesterday and waffled between whether or not to get it. I ended up with the Yes to Tomatoes Face Masque. I really wanted the Yes to Carrots scrub but wasn’t sure about one of the ingredients so went with the masque as well. It is decent but it turns my face red for a little while after using it. I’m not sure if that is normal or not. I’ve used fresh tomatoes on my face before and that application is a bit irritating because of the acidity but I expect that of straight undiluted fruit juice. My face looked sunburned with the masque though. After the redness went away it did feel fresh and smooth though. No tightness, dryness or breakouts from use either.

I’m really really curious about the blueberry eye cream. Based on your review of the moisturizer, I might go ahead and take the plunge since it seems like it may have some promising results! Thank you for the review and what funny timing. The experience above is my first experience with the “Yes to” line.

    1. I’m totally in love with the blueberries line. I do have the yes to carrots face scrub and I like it too. I think I may have reviewed it.

      1. I do have sensitive skin, but I haven’t tried the Cucumbers line, only the carrots and blueberry.

  3. I like how the ingredients include a bunch of things I can recognize. I, like Vijaya. am curious about the smell. Is it really strong?

  4. This is one of my favourite products. I love this moisturizer SO MUCH. Then, I really love the Yes to blueberries line in general. Recently I’ve been using the Yes to Cucumbers line (since my local store was out of most of the Blueberries products) but I neeeed to switch back. Especially now that I’ve discovered I have a cucumber allergy. ._____.

    1. Yeah it doesn’t really have a smell to me. And it works well on my eyes at night 🙂
