Question – What’s your feeling on limited edition products?
Answer – In general, I hate them. I hate the FOMO (fear of missing out) that brands try to push. I also hate that most limited edition items are (in general) poorer quality than the permanent lineup. I wish brands would STOP trying to push out limited edition items and instead focus on more high-quality releases.

  1. I agree with you on the LE items. Sometimes they’re fun, but more and more they are gimmicky, sub-par, and annoying.

  2. On one hand I feel like limited edition products actually limit a brand in general because sometimes people have to save up to buy a higher end palette if they find a substitute, the brand loses out on that coin and possibly a repeat customer. It may divide customers socioeconomically (is this even a word?).

On the other hand if I cant get something that is LE it can force me to be creative and shop my own stash or find a decent dupe 🙂
