Zoya Pixie Dust Godiva Polish Review

Zoya Pixie Dust Godiva Nail Polish Review and Swatch

Today I’ve got yet another textured polish for you! It’s Zoya Pixie Dust Godiva. There’s a quote, “Well-behaved women seldom make history,” by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich. Lady Godiva, for whom this polish may or may not have been named, appears at first glance to be a well-mannered, proper neutral shade. Sensible, even. However, upon closer examination, you’ll see the unusual, matte texture, filled with gleaming sparkle, that kicks this polish from well-behaved to fun. It seems only fitting, since it is named after a woman’s nude ride in the 13th century. Though there is speculation as to whether or not the ride actually happened, it’s still a neat story.

My thoughts
I personally love the textured nail polishes. This is my first Zoya textured nail polish. I like their formula. I wasn’t quite sold on the color, but then it was the last one on the display, and it was named Godiva, and Ray said it was worth it to try it based on the name alone, so I figured why not.

Honestly, I’m glad i did. I like having a good nude I can whip out as needed, and it’s not a boring shade! I feel like the texture and the demure sparkles in it. It rounds out my collection of textured polishes nicely.

Have you tried any of Zoya’s textured polishes? What do you think of Godiva? Are you embracing the textured polish trend?

  1. That’s gorgeous! I haven’t tried any of these textured polishes so I don’t know if they would annoy me or not, but I may just have to try!

  2. Ohhh I love all the pixie dust polishes but that one is my absolute favourite! So gorgeous!

  3. It looks like clean sparkling sand from a beautiful beach!  Can you tell I’m a summer girl?  Thanks for the great review and pics!

  4. I, sadly, hate the texture of the pixie dust polishes. Sandpaper on my nails. Not cool when I have to dig in my pockets at work for pens, gloves, & other what-nots.

  5. I’m not sure about how the tone would look on my skin. I’m afraid I’d have lobster hands lol!

  6. Love Godiva! Totally work appropriate while being fun & on trend!

  7. I Iove this pretty champagne color. Does it feel sort of sandpaper-ish? What happens if you put top coat on it?

    1. HollieHaradon Topcoat on sparkly textured polishes is my favorite way to wear them. It smoothes out the feel of them and enhances the sparkle!

      1. @http://www.livefyre.com/profile/7386098/ Nice! I was hoping that was the case. I would love to see how it would look doing the top coat as a french tip. I love the play of shiny and matte.
