Wet n’ Wild Fergie Centerstage Lipstick Collection Review and Swatches

Today I’ve got some of the Wet n’ Wild Fergie Centerstage collection for you. I purchased 6 of the lipsticks and one of the shimmer palettes. This post is all about the lipsticks.

Wet n' Wild Fergie Packaging

I’ve got all of the lipsticks lined up here except for D-Vinely Chilled.

I wanted to talk to you about the packaging. While I like the sleek look and I appreciate that you can see the color of the product through the clear cap, I HATE that you can’t twist the product all the way down in the tube. I nicked D-Vinely Chilled because of that, and it really irritated me. While I’m fine with the plain black packaging of my other Wet n’ Wild products, this is a nice change, aside from that ‘feature.’ I think that the lipsticks should be able to be protected and not knicked when inside the tube.

I’ve got hand and lip swatches for you of these colors. I actually think they’re pretty awesome. I love ALL the colors.

Wet n Wild Fergie Pagan Angel Lipstick

Pagan Angel is a semi-matte black. It applied patchy for me, even with the help of a lip brush. If I’d used my Nyx lip liner in Blackberry, it would not have been noticeable. This was the most difficult shade in the set for me. I bought it just because of the name. That, and I knew Ray would like it.

I layered Venomous Cosmetics Venom gloss on top, which is a gold with a slight green shift and it really perked it up, in my opinoion.

Ferguson Crest Cabernet is a pretty burgundy wine satin with magenta undertones. While it’s very opaque, this was the second most difficult shade in the set. It is very pigmented though and I do love the color.

Wet n' Wild Fergie Fuchsianista Lipstick

Fuchsianista is a bright fuchsia with slight violet sheen. It reminds me of Illamasqua Atomic or MAC Show Orchid. this one gave me no trouble. In fact, this one and the rest made me think that Wet n’ Wild had tweaked their formula a bit. While on the dry side, it’s not drying. It reminds me almost of Morgana Cryptoria lipsticks. You can see that I managed to capture a bit of the violet sheen on the lipstick itself, as well as on my lips. I just love this shade!

Penthouse Sweet is a midtone blue-based pink satin. I love this sort of shade. It almost makes me think of a Barbie pink.

D-Vinely Chilled is a very pretty plum wine shade with fine gold shimmer. I’ve got it applied very lightly here and blotted.

Fergie Daily is a nude beige satin color. I think it’s perfect for pairing with a smoky eye.

Overall, I like the lipsticks. I think the only one you have to put any effort into wearing is Pagan Angel. The rest are easy to wear, especially if you have a lip brush.

Price
$3.49 from Walgreens for .12 oz of product. You may be able to find coupons to make them less expensive.

Would I purchase again?
Yes! I only took 1/2 a star off for Pagan Angel and Ferguson Crest Cabernet being a bit difficult. The rest were great.

Have you tried these lipsticks? What do you think of them?

  1. Fergie Daily is the only one of this set I’d wear, some of those colors look too patchy, and others just aren’t my style. Thank you SO MUCH for showing this though because I was very interested to see how these worked, I’m glad you did on lip looks as well as swatches ^_^

  2. Great Post Phyrra! I’m not wild about their packaging but I like how bright the colors are

    1. Cos_challenged Thank you 🙂 Yeah the packaging has its flaws, but the colors are nice! I think Fuchsianista would be fab for you!

      1. @Phyrra There are a few! Fuchsianista and Penthouse Sweet.  But Fergie Daily is also calling my name since I am always looking for a nice nude color 🙂

  3. I like Fergie Daily, although I’m not sure how good it’d look on me – colors like that tend to go a bit ashy on my lip color. I get what you mean about not being able to twist the lipstick all the way down – it would definitely bother me too!

    1. bcrueltyfree Sometimes I worry that shade is too pale for me. I did pick up the other peachy nude to try and it’s a shade darker than I like, so I may try mixing the two.

  4. That “Fergie Daily” color looks like it was made for you – you’re fortunate enough that you look good in everything though anyway! I might have to try that color myself to see how I like it.
