Today I have Urban Decay Wende’s Favorites Vice Lipsticks to share with you. I received these lipsticks Monday afternoon so I swatched them, both on my lips and in comparison to the old versions of the lipsticks that I have.

Pandemonium – bright purple (mega matte) I love this purple. The formula definitely benefits from a lip pencil underneath.
Backtalk lipstick – Mauve nude-pink (Comfort Matte) This is creamier than the original matte that I own. I do like the color as a MLBB type shade.
Naked lipstick – Nude-pink (Cream) This is creamier than the original. It’s another good MLBB type shade for pale skin.
Conspiracy lipstick – Plum-bronze shimmer (Pearlized) So this is a really unusual color and I didn’t expect to like it, but I do. To me it looks like a brown, not a plum, with golden shift.
Firebird lipstick – Deep fuchsia (Cream). This is a gorgeous color and super creamy.
Big Bang lipstick – bright pink sparkle. This is not a shade I would wear on its own. It would be good for layering or adding to the center of the lips for extra sparkle.
Menace lipstick – Medium fuchsia-pink (Comfort Matte) I love this one.
Disturbed lipstick – Deep brick red (Comfort Matte) This shade really needs a lip pencil to help it apply evenly.
Rock Steady lipstick – Deep wine red (Cream) While I like this color, this formula is super creamy and slippery. It’s not my favorite.
714 lipstick – Bright red (Mega Matte) I love this bright red and I really like the formula.

For all of the lip swatches, I lined only the outside of the lips and then filled in with the lipsticks. If I were wearing these out, I would line and fill in the lips completely, then apply lipstick on top. I just think they wear better and look better with the lips filled as a sort of primer.
In between lip swatches, I exfoliated with my e.l.f. stick exfoliator for lips and added moisture back with my Cover FX Mint FX.
Of these shades, my favorites are Pandemonium, 714, Menace, Firebird, Conspiracy and Backtalk. I love that there’s finally a Pandemonium pencil. The world needs more purple in it.

I wish the lipliners were cheaper. It really sucks they’ve gone up in price this year. I think 20 dollars is way too much for a lip liner when I can get 4 lipliners for that price from colourpop. Do you know any colourpop dupes for Anarchy, Wonderland, Streak, Speedball, Bang, and Bittersweet?

I wore 714 today and it’s a light up your face bold happy red. I felt like a goddess! I have NC 42 skin and it just pops. Very lasting and matte! My new HG red lip
The sheer, metallic, and cream finishes look like they’re vegan. I went on UD’s website and saw the comfort matte and mega matte finishes contain beeswax, so they’re not vegan.
This is sad and good. I guess the UD lippies are discontinued after all and will be replaced with these! But gotta say: the packaging attracts me!

And thanks for the vegan list. I’d been looking at the Sephora early release and now know I have to cross off the ones I’d chosen, unfortunately, because they’re not vegan. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can find one I can wear that is vegan, otherwise it’s back to the drawing board for me!
I really love 714! I haven’t actually tried UD’s lipsticks or lip liners yet. I don’t even know what’s stopping me because they seem to have a great shade range! They look great on you!

Conspiracy! That looks great on you! I might be too pink-toned to wear that one but I’m trying to convince my Mom to try it, LOL. I love Menace, and I have the original 714 which I love. I think with the new collection I’m going to start with the colors I haven’t seen/haven’t tried yet. Or I’ll *try* to do that, haha! Love that necklace BTW!

No, they haven’t released that info yet 🙁 When I find out I’ll be making a list of the vegan shades.

I love Menace on you. I won’t replace my Naked and Native lipsticks even though the new ones are creamier but I saw a swatch of a pretty pink that I don’t have and would get. I can’t remember the name though.
I still love the matte Revolution formula more.

I am impressed. I’d be over it by the 3rd lipstick.
I’m imagining you did the swatches as quick as possible because there were so many to do.
I’m also imagining the steps:
1) Remove previous lipstick,
2) Apply lipstick,
3) Clean up lip line with foundation/concealer,
4) Reapply lipstick
5) Check the lipstick on your face.
6) Pose for photo.
Repeat.
Phyrra, how did the original lipsticks and new lipsticks compare in texture, wear time, bleeding?, feel on lips…

I applied lipliner to the outside of the lips only, filled in with lipstick, cleaned up any edges (only a few places with the wetter formulas), took pictures, removed with tissue, used elf mint lip exfoliator stick, applied cover fx lip moisturizer, blotted off excess, dabbed foundation around the edges of the mouth, lined the outside of the lips with lipliner, filled in with lipstick, rinse repeat. I didn’t test for wear or anything like that. I received these lipsticks Monday afternoon and couldn’t touch them until I’d finished with work, so I got to do this around 11pm at night, then did my makeup and tried each lipstick shade. I will be testing a few of them out over the next days to see how they wear compared to the original Revolution formula. I feel like the creams, which are super shiny, may be gone faster than average. But I’ll apply them the way I normally wear lipsticks -> line and fill in lips, apply lipstick on top, blot. When I do that with lipsticks like Too Faced Pitch Perfect, it will last 10 – 12 hours (even with me eating and drinking), because of the ultra matte formula.

Been waiting to see Conspiracy on you. I was intrigured by it immediately, but wasn’t sure about it on fair skin. I love it! I think it looks great on you…and it’s really unique (at least to me). I will totally get that one once they are released.
