Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette Review, Swatches, Video

My favorites in the Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette:

Voodoo, Betrayal, Prank, Madness, Strike, Smokeout, Lovesick, Stash, Poison, Toxic, Habit, Shellshock, Dope and Coax.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I love the packaging! The abstract orchid design is gorgeous! I mean, yes, I am partial to purple but this is beautiful! I love that no two Vice 2 palettes are exactly alike because of this design. I can’t get enough of this purple!

Urban Decay Shadow singles are $18 for 0.05 US oz. Typically for .6 oz of shadow, you’re looking at 12 singles, which would cost you $216. So instead you’re getting 20 shadows, all brand new shades. The UD Shadow brush is $26 and the UD crease brush is $26 individually.

I think this is a terrific palette for the price. The double ended brush that’s included is nice, like all Urban Decay brushes. It’s one I actually use. I didn’t feel like there was a single dud in this palette. There’s a good mix of neutrals and fun colors. While there are more browns than I would use, I know that appeals to some people. I really love the purples, blues, peach, copper, pinks and dark shades.

The Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette is available at Sephora, Ulta, Macys, Beauty.com and UrbanDecay.com

What do you think of the new Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette? Will you be picking it up or passing?

  1. I picked up the Kat Von D Spellbinding palette instead as I have the original Vice palette.  I’m wondering if this needs to come home with me too.

  2. Fazila Tough question! I love the Smoked a lot and it’s very travel friendly. This one is LE, where the Smoked is not. This one has 20 shades, so more than the Smoked. This one doesn’t have as many mattes as the Smoked. I think you get more variety in this palette.

  3. Woooowww… Love this palette and thank you for the review.. If i am about to buy smoked palette and this one which one do you suggest is better or should i get both?

  4. These are all gorgeous gahhh and I kniow that the price is WORTH it savings-wise but I can’t bring myself to pay that much. sigh. Your swatches of it are great though! Post lots of looks with it ok and I’ll live vicariously through you!

  5. A t first glance, I was unimpressed, but after seeing your swatches, I have fallen in love with the colors! The pressed powders looked too “boring,” but they are anything but when on the skin!

  6. Loved the last Vice palette, will probably pick up this one. Not a huge fan of the brush, though. It’s not the same size/shape/density as I prefer in an eyeshadow brush. Might pass it on to my sister or something as I don’t need a second brush. It’s not like the palette’s not a value for the eyeshadow alone.

  7. ohhhhh……..soooooooo fill in the blank with various nars names….LOVE IT!!! Will ABSOLUTELY be hauling this of course to “complete” my collection! I LOVE those two purples!! Thank you thank you thank you for doing a video and swatchies!
