Urban Decay Summer 2015 Collection

Urban Decay Summer 2015 Collection

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing the Urban Decay Summer 2015 Collection information with you. My press samples are coming, but they’re currently stuck in Kentucky. (and yes, that’s the sound of me sobbing into Phaedra’s fur. Just kidding) But I’ve got lots of good information to share with you! Update: See the Summer Nights Eyeshadows, the Afterglow Blushes and the Revolution Lipglosses in action! Also, let me know if you love or hate the new Primer Potion Packaging!

PR sample.

Urban Decay Summer 2015 Collection

The Summer 2015 Collection is called Summer Nights. UD was inspired by late-night poolside parties to rooftop hangouts at sunset, bright bikinis, neon shades, flushed cheeks and bright lips.

Tag @UrbanDecayCosmetics on IG or @UrbanDecay on Twitter and use the hashtag #UDSummerNights to share your bright summer creations with UD.

As you know, I love Urban Decay. Urban Decay is cruelty free and Leaping Bunny certified.

Where to Buy (launches April 15)

Urban Decay Summer 2015 Eyeshadows

About the Single Eyeshadows – $18 each
When we relaunched our Eyeshadow formula, beauty junkies and makeup artists rejoiced. The only way to make our velvety, bestselling formula even better? Expand our shade range, of course! Urban Decay introduces EIGHT brand-spanking-NEW Eyeshadow singles. There’s a little something for everyone—from color junkies to fans of neutral mattes. (See, we DO read all your pleas on Facebook.) The lineup: six gorgeous, shifty duotones—in shades like blue, gold, peach, burgundy and even red!—and two versatile matte neutrals. With the addition of these new shades, our already huge Eyeshadow lineup now includes a whopping 12 duotones and an ever-expanding range of matte shades. We haven’t introduced new Eyeshadow duotones in a long time, so we went all out and really pushed the shifty quality and the reflectiveness of these shades.

Tonic
lilac with blue shift

Backfire
burgundy with purple shift

Dive Bar
medium blue with pink-purple shift

Fireball
peach with pink shift

Sideline
gold with green shift

Lounge
brick red with green shift (this is a classic UD color and a big fan favorite)

Riff
brown-nude matte with floating micro sparkle

Beware
warm brown matte (originally from the Theodora palette, see swatches here)

I’m so very excited over the fact that Urban Decay is releasing several new eyeshadows, and almost all of them are duotones! I CANNOT wait to get my hands on Dive Bar, Fireball, Backfire, Sideline and Tonic. Seriously excited for those shades.

Urban Decay Summer 2015 Blushes

It’s also really exciting that Urban Decay is bringing back single blushes!

About Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush – $26
Urban Decay introduces Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush—the foolproof way to create that effortless, radiant look. Just a few quick swipes of Afterglow gives you the kind of easy, sexy, lit-from-within glow that makes people wonder if you spent the whole weekend in a secret love den. The best part? Much like the lingering effects of a romantic rendezvous, Afterglow won’t quit. Our extremely blendable, finely milled formula goes on sheer and provides eight long hours of wearable, buildable color. And wait until you feel it! Lightweight yet luxurious, Afterglow has a soft, creamy texture that always applies beautifully. The lineup: a dozen scintillating shades…some with a matte finish, and others with a hint of shimmer.  This is blush the UD way: wearable color that really lasts—in everything from neutrals to brights.

Bittersweet
bright purple (can I get a hell yeah?)

Kinky
light peach with light shimmer

Obsessed
light pink

Quickie
bright blue-toned pink

Score
medium pinky-peach with a hint of shimmer

Indecent
light peachy nude

Crush
medium pink

Video
soft nude

Fetish
medium pink-nude

Rapture
deep mauve with a hint of shimmer

Bang
bright red-orange

Quiver
medium red

Of course I’m excited over Bittersweet, Obsessed, Score and Quickie. I can’t way to try Indecent, Kinky, Fetish and Video, too. I think Bang, Rapture and Quiver will shine on deeper skintones. Hopefully Fetish or Video will be the perfect nude type blush on me to pair with brighter eye looks.

Urban Decay Summer 2015 Eyeshadow Primer Potions

About Eyeshadow Primer Potions – $20 to $24
Unmatched by any other eyeshadow primer in the beauty industry, Eyeshadow Primer Potion is the number-
one primer* for indestructible, all-day eyeshadow. So why mess with perfection? We found a way to make this legendary formula even better. Urban Decay announces the relaunch of Eyeshadow Primer Potion—with a new look, a new applicator and even some new shades! Don’t worry; our Original Primer, Eden shade and Anti-Aging formula aren’t going anywhere. So what’s new? We listened to your feedback and reworked Sin (champagne shimmer), making it more sheer (and changed the name to Minor Sin). Also new to the lineup: the LIMITED-EDITION shade Enigma (neutral matte); 100% of the purchase price of this shade funds The Ultraviolet Edge, our global initiative to empower women. Every shade is paraben-free.

Original
nude (dries down invisibly)

Minor Sin
champagne shimmer

Eden
nude matte (full coverage, hides redness

Anti-Aging
nude (color-correcting plus optical blurring)

Enigma
neutral matte (see Enigma here)

Yes, you can use the new primer potions as a squeeze tube or use the doe foot applicator. So it’s got versatility for application. I also love the revamped jeweled top and the ombre colors on the tube.

Urban Decay Summer 2015 Revolution Lipglosses

About Revolution High-Color Lipglosses – $22 each
This high-coverage, ultra-pigmented formula lays down all the color you crave in one coat. Choose from 14 lust-worthy shades in both cream and sparkle textures. With gorgeous nudes, bold brights and deep, dark shades, our lineup contains something for everyone. From longstanding UD favorites (like 69, Big Bang, Punch Drunk and Apocalypse) to never-before-seen high-impact gloss needs covered. The perfect counterpoint to Naked Lipgloss, this is how UD does a colorful gloss: bright, pigment-rich shades in a formula that feels amazing on your lips. We’re currently hooked on Scandal (a really pretty brilliant pink), Bittersweet (a super bright, editorial purple like nothing we’ve ever done) and Liar (a medium pink-nude that works on any skin tone). For bold, shiny color that really lasts, pair Revolution Lipgloss with our new Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose Primer Pencil.

Bittersweet
bright purple

Vice
dark purple with glitter

Big Bang
bright pink with glitter

Savage
electric pink

Apocalypse
deep purple-wine

Assassin
candy apple red with glitter

Punch Drunk
bright orange

Liar
medium pink-nude

Failbait
light neutral pink

Kinky
nude

Quiver
medium rose-pink

Scandal
bright pink

69
bright red

Brickhouse
dark brick red

The colors that are the most fun (to me) are Bittersweet, Vice, Big Bang, Savage, Punch Drunk, Assassin and Apocalypse. The packaging is flat and pocket-friendly, long and slim. These glosses contain hilurlip, which defines and hydrates the lips to make them look plump and full. They’re supposed to be insanely pigmented and have a super creamy texture.

Urban Decay Summer 2015 Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose Primer Pencil

About Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose Primer Pencil – $20
Inspired by our bestselling, slim-barreled Ozone 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil, Ultimate Ozone is an indispensable primer in pencil form. This clear, THICK-barreled undercover wonder does it all. Hold lip color in place. Prevent feathering. Correct mistakes. Even fill in fine lines! No matter how you use Ultimate Ozone, our creamy, long-lasting formula glides on clear to prevent your most embarrassing beauty nightmares.

This is supposed to be a really versatile pencil! You can use it as a primer for lipstick or lipgloss to make them last longer. You can use it as a barrier if you outline your lips. You can apply a bright lip and then clean up the edges with this pencil to create sharp, perfect lines. UD says you can use it to clean up mascara or other makeup mistakes, as well as to fill in lines around the eyes and lips.

I’m hoping by the time UD Summer arrives I’ll be able to wear the eyeshadow! I’m really excited by the new blushes, as well as the fact that UD is throwing brights out there like Vice and Bittersweet. I’m also happy to see super pigmented glosses. I promise as soon as I have the items, I will share them with you.

  1. Dive Bar looks like a passable dupe for old school shade uv-b, plus with the re-release of lounge, I’m so excited for this launch!!! 🙂

  2. I think this is a collection that is WAY overdue – finally, something other than Naked items are coming out! I’m really excited about the eyeshadows; I see some major product buying in my future come next week!

    1. Agreed! I’m so thrilled with Urban Decay 🙂 Would love to know what you think of the 3 videos I made of this collection 🙂

      1. LOVED the videos, and got the Revolution lipgloss in Big Bang in the mail from #ipsy yesterday before it went on sale everywhere else!

  3. I’m so happy to see UD bring out blushes. Bittersweet looks awesome. So many pretty colors for eyes and lips. It’s killing me.

  4. Love the look of those new blushes and glosses (but I’m more of a lipstick girl than a gloss girl). Honestly, what I want to try first is the new Ozone pencil!! Since my HG lip primer product (Paula Dorf Perfect Illusion) has been discontinued I’m lost. Have been using MAC’s Prep + Prime lip, and it works, just not as good as the PD one. I have the original Ozone pencil but haven’t used it as a full lip primer because the pencil is too thin. If this new Ozone pencil works, I’ll stick with it for LIFE! I’ll probably have to own 3-4 of those blushes eventually and I’ll make up my mind about the glosses after I swatch in store, haha!

  5. I just spent 170 @ Sephora last night. I wanted the melted Violet & jelly, but didn’t have yet.
Love all yes given you a hell ya !! For blush.
    Love – Vise and Dive
    really like glosses

  6. Thanks for the heads up, so I can start saving now for this release LOL. But really….SO much I want!!

  7. Bittersweet blush and lippie! But also… everything!!! Cannot wait to see your swatches and looks with this collection!

  8. So excited about all these new goodies! I don’t even know where to start! Those blushes!!! Even the brown matte eye shadows excite me!
