The packaging is truly gorgeous! Pictured above with some of my other favorite palettes. This is the ultimate companion palette.
Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette Swatches
light nude demi-matte
Pale peachy nude satin. Makes me think a little bit of Makeup Geek Shimma Shimma.
soft pink-nude matte
Light peach beige matte. This reminds me a little bit of Makeup Geek Beaches & Cream.
light taupe-brown matte
Light peachy taupe matte. It reminds me of the Naked 2 Basics palette.
pale brown matte
Light brown matte. It reminds me of the Naked 2 Basics palette.
medium pink-taupe matte
Medium taupe brown with a hint of pink matte. I wanted this to be like Laced, but it’s not. That’s my go-to transition color for so many looks these days.
reddish brown matte
Deep brown with red undertones matte.
pale yellow matte
Light yellow matte. This reminds me a little of UD Foxy.
burnt orange matte
Deep orange with brown undertones matte. This is the most popular shade of the year, I swear. Everyone is obsessed with it.
medium warm brown matte
Midtone warm brown with orange undertones matte.
rich neutral brown matte
Midtone brown matte.
smoky gray matte
Grey taupe matte.
warm black matte
Warm Black matte.
Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette Looks
The above photos were right after I had my eyebrows microbladed here in Tampa. They have a cream on them.
This look was after they’d partially healed.
This was taken at Dragon Con in Atlanta.
This was taken a few days ago, right after my eyebrow microblading touch up.
UD Naked Ultimate Basics Palette Review
Instinct, Tempted, and Commando all remind me of the Naked Basics 2 palette, which is not my favorite. Those shades do me no favors. I wish Instinct was more pink-toned like Laced. I wish Tempted was a light grey or grey-taupe. I wish Commando was slightly more peach toned. Nudie was darker than I expected, I was hoping it would be like Walk of Shame. Lockout and Faith are very similar. I would have just picked Lockout because you can always mix a bit of Extra Bitter with Lockout to make Faith. And I really wish that Lethal was a deep burgundy (no brown tones).

I’m very happy with the eyeshadow formula in the Naked Ultimate Basics palette. They’re easy to work with and blend together. The palette works well if you think of the top row as mostly transitional shades (except Lethal) or light / easy makeup look colors. The bottom row is perfect for lining or spicing things up.
This palette has become a staple for me and I’ve been using it 3 times or more a week. If you have hooded eyes like me and prefer mattes on your hood, you may love this palette.
