Urban Decay Naked Nail Polish Swatches and Review

Before the new year, I purchased the Urban Decay Naked Nail Set from Sephora. I had a devil of a time actually getting my order from Sephora.

I had my worst customer service experience with Sephora ever. I ordered on Dec. 21. I received a shipping notice on Dec. 22. My order didn’t update, and was presumably lost, until I contacted Sephora on Dec. 27 asking where my order was. It was only on Dec. 27 that my order actually got shipped out. It finally arrived on January 2nd. Yes, I realize there were 2 holidays in that time frame. However, the fact that my order didn’t actually ship until I contacted them to ask why my status hadn’t updated for several days was complete fail on Sephora’s part. Sephora really disappointed me in this situation.

Anyway, let’s take a look at the polish!

Urban Decay Naked Nail Polish Set Review and Swatches

Website Says
This irresistible nail polish kit features six of this season’s most sought-after shades in Urban Decay’s signature NAKED style. Featuring an inspired range of glitters, metallics, creams, and shimmers, each gorgeous hue proves that once again, neutral is anything but boring.

This set contains:
– 6 x 0.16 oz Nail Colors in Hustle, Naked, Smog, Toasted, Creep, Sidecar

Price
$26

Urban Decay Naked, Sidecar, Toasted

Urban Decay Naked, Sidecar, Toasted

Naked
This is a warm, opaque beige nude.

Sidecar
To me, this is a warm, slightly pinked nude with silver shimmer.

Toasted
Frosty brown-toned mauve, possibly a taupe?

Urban Decay Smog, Hustle, Creep

Urban Decay Smog, Hustle, Creep

Smog
Amazing copper with gold shift. Just like the eyeshadow, this shade is stunning (way more stunning than in my swatches)! This is one of my favorites in the set because it’s so gorgeous.

Hustle
Pretty eggplant purple metallic.

Creep
Gunmetal grey (nearly black) with silver glitter.

You can see that Sidecar’s glitter picks up a pink shimmer for the camera.

My favorites in this set are Smog, Creep and Sidecar. Smog is easily the most complex shade of the bunch. I love the glitter in both Creep and Sidecar. My least favorite in the set was Toasted. Naked, the only cream, was nice.

I love these little nail sets from Urban Decay. I think this was a nice addition to the Naked Family that Urban Decay has built. Urban Decay definitely did NOT disappoint me with this set.

What do you think of the Urban Decay Naked Nail Polish set? Do you like the mini-sets? Which shade is your favorite?

  1. Same happened to me. I passed an order with the Body Shop on the 27th, got a shipping confirmation on the 28th, but it never left their warehouse. I had to send a mail a week later after I inquired myself at the post office, and magically my order was found and sent the very same day. I understand the holidays are a crazy period, but what’s the point of doing a Boxing Day online if there’s going to be so much problems?
But back on the post, gorgeous nail shades! Sidecar and Smog are my favourites.

  2. I think shipping in general was very affected by the holidays back to back 🙁 I can’t speak for Sephora since I haven’t had that happen to me but for example I made an order with VictorianDisco Cosmetics and they shipped it out on time. Thanks to the tracking provided, I found out that USPS took 10 days to ship out the package from their local post office despite being received 10 days prior to that. 🙁

The Naked set looks fantastic, though! I wanted to buy it earlier but decided to purchase Smashbox’s Curtis Kulig  Love Me collection instead. I was going to wait for IMATS but it looks like UD won’t be there this year?! NYX isn’t going either which is so sad 🙁

  3. i noticed too that it took a while to update the shipping until after the holidays was over. anyways, really nice colors for browns and nudes. i like all of them except the cream one. i dont gravitate to those myself.

  4. I absolutely adore every single color in this set. I wouldn’t have thought to make naked palette shades into nail polishes – it’s a pretty great idea, especially for nude polish lovers like me 🙂

    1. bcrueltyfree Yeah I’m not typically a nude nail polish fan. In fact, Cult Nails made the first nudes I ever loved, but these are nice!
