Urban Decay Interstellar Tutorial

Urban Decay Interstellar Tutorial - Phyrra.net

Happy Friday! I created this Urban Decay Interstellar Tutorial featuring UD and Colour Pop. I haven’t used the Colour Pop mattes a ton, so I thought it would be great to play with them in this look. I had issues with Roulette when creating the tutorial, it blended out to nothing. I ended up using Makeup Geek Corrupt, which worked much better.

This was the look that I wore in my recent UD Wende’s Contraband Palette video. I can’t say enough nice things about Interstellar, it’s so gorgeous! See the rest of the new Moondust shades.

Colour Pop’s Ultra Matte lipsticks launched yesterday. I picked up a few shades. I’m really excited for Sundae, Ouija and Pacific. The other shades I nabbed were Donut, Highball and Mars.

What are your plans for the weekend?

  1. Love the colour combo on the eyes, but I am especially into your lip creation. Gorgeous!

  2. Fantastic cat eye! I always mess mine up. Your makeup looks fantastic!

  3. I know this is about your eyes but it’s your lips I love. I have Naked2 lipstick so I need to put that pretty gloss in the middle like you did.

  4. Wow, Courtney that color combination on your eyes is absolutely stunning! GORGEOUS FOTD!

  5. Awesome. Had to say. That foundation looks incredible on you. I know cover fx is your go to, but wow. Think I’m gonna break out my sample and try it. Might be better than my bare face.

    1. I used the Nyx CC Cream in Green underneath to cover my redness, then applied the Buxom sparingly with my finger tips, and then blended with a damp beauty blender.

      1. Nice. I really enjoy NYX. Been wanting a CC cream. Definitely going to try. Thank you. Love your reviews and looks.

        1. The CC Cream on its own is too dark for my skintone, even in the lightest shade, so don’t be surprised if it’s dark. That’s why I have to put foundation on top of it. If it wasn’t too dark, I’d probably try to get away with just wearing that.

          1. I missed this. I’m sorry. I have the same problem. I just had to return the UD Naked in point five today at Sephora. They keep doing that foundation checker on me and it says ysomething. But I’ve been pale so long I need lighter. I picked up samples of their brand, cover fx in N0, and mufe in lightest they had. I look forward to the day I can get one of those oils that go on your skin and adjust to the color but even out the tone.

      2. Did Buxom expand their shade range recently? I remember trying the foundation back when it was first released and liking the formula, but the lightest shade at the time was way too dark for me. Looks like I’m going to have to visit my Sephora and see if they have the shade you’re wearing!

Plus I might pick up the NYX cream at Ulta too, haha. The combo of that with the foundation looks amazing on you!

        1. I think that this is a new shade from Buxom. After wearing it a few times I think it’s still slightly dark / yellow on me, but it’s pretty nice.

          1. I think it looks like a good match for you in the photos, for what it’s worth.

Also, I swung by my local sephora today and picked up the foundation. So far I’ve only worn it around the house tonight but I’m pretty impressed! Shade match is near perfect, it blends in great and looks great on my dry skin. One layer evened out my skin tone really well without looking too heavy or sheer, and when I added a couple of the Cover FX drops to what was left on my hand I able to cover up all the hyperpigmentation around my chin. I still need to do a full test run tomorrow, but I think I might have a winner here!
