Bang – bright orange with subtle floating iridescent pearl

When I wear Bang, I see the gorgeous bright orange. I have to be like 6 inches from my nails to notice the gold iridescent floating pearl. It’s definitely subtle!

Chaos – vibrant cobalt blue with floating tonal pearl

Chaos is a rich, blue. The floating tonal pearl is more visible on this one than on Bang.

I really love how  UD has been releasing 2 colors each season. They’re supposed to be LE but I haven’t seen any leave UD’s site yet. I really like both of these shades for summer. I feel like between the two, Bang is more unique than Chaos. I find Chaos more flattering for my skintone than Bang.

The formula was easy for me to apply. I didn’t have any issues with it pooling at my cuticles or dripping. I used 2 coats of each color for my manis. Since these just arrived today, I can’t speak to the wear time but with other Urban Decay nail colors I’ve gotten 4 to 5 days of wear.

With the Urban Decay nail colors you’re getting slightly less product than what I believe the average is for the price. By comparison, butter LONDON is 11 ml / .4 fl. oz for $15, and UD is 9 ml / .3 fl. oz. It’s definitely enough polish to take you through a season, but I felt I should point out the difference.

What do you think of the Urban Decay Summer 2014 Nail Colors? Which do you prefer – Chaos or Bang?

Pros

  • Nice formula
  • Bright colors
  • Cruelty free
  • Vegan

Cons

  • You’re getting slightly less than average amount of product for the price

  1. i’m wearing chaos right now.. the smell of the polish stank so bad but it’s SO PRETTY. it just glows.

  2. It took so much self control not to order ANY UD nail polish when I bought my Electric Palette. They are beautiful colors though! Gators, hahaha….I’m def not a FL anything fan.

    1. I knew they had to be like sports colors for some team, but I don’t follow sports so i wasn’t sure which ones.

  3. I guess these colors go well with their new Electric palette, but their not that unique to me. I’d pick Chaos, of the two, though. I think I need to go buy Zodiac one of these days. I love my Blackheart!

  4. I love that blue, that’s a great spring color. UD polish doesn’t wear as well as other brands like butter London on me unfortunately but they are pretty.
