theBalm Shady Lady Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 Comparison

I did this comparison quite a while ago, not too long after I got my new camera. I got the bright idea of swatching both of theBalm Shady Lady palettes 1 and 2 together. I’ve labeled all the colors 1 and 2 to go along with the swatches.

Volume 1 – My favorite from this one is Jet-setting Jennifer. I also really like Risque Renee, Easy Wheezie, Shameless Shana and Jealous Jordana.

Volume 2 – My favorite from this on eis Bossy Bobbi. I also really like Feisty Felicia, Makeout Mary, and Insane Jane.

Having both palettes really gives you a lot of options when it comes to color combinations. What colors do you like the best?

I really love the texture of these shadows. They’ve got good pigmentation. They’re smooth. They blend easily. These are all things I want in an eye shadow. I think these palettes are a nice investment, which is why I added them to my collection.

  1. I love theBalm…I have both SL palette’s 1 and 2 I found at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s each were 12.99. 🙂 I also have the nude ‘tude palette and meet matte palette…I won 150 dollar GC to theBalm so I have a ton of their cosmetic’s now, haha, all the blushes are lovely and i love the mary lou-manizer, and their new lipsticks are amazingly pigmented and smooth.

  2. This is a great post! Both palettes look lovely to me – though I don’t own either. I do really love the balm, I have a blush and I just bought the soap opera palette off a friend who wasn’t using it. I also really want the nude tude palette – but I’m hoping it will go up on haute look again, I don’t want to pay full price.
