Hollywood Tutorial

I haven’t broken out any of my Glamour Doll Eyes (affiliate link) shadows in a long time, so for this tutorial I used GDE Hollywood. I also used Concrete Minerals ¡Viva los Muertos! and Saint from the Sugar Skulls Collection, which celebrates Dia de los Muertos. Olympics Themed Look

I did an Olympics themed look and tutorial for Jen at My Beauty Bunny. I remember being into the Olympics as a kid, but I didn’t really get into them this year. I always loved the gymnastics competition though. I didn’t see any of the events this year until I was at my BFF’s rehearsal dinner. We were all entranced by the girls on the bars. It was really impressive to see. The 2012 Summer Olympic Games took place in London, United Kingdom this year. They ran from July 27 to August 12, 2012. So today is the closing ceremonies and I think that it’s fitting that I have a tutorial today. The look I did for Jen was very wearable, so this one is more just a fun look. Please go check out the tutorial I did for her and let me know what you think. I had the sad realization that I don’t own a bright silver liner! I own dark greys, because I think they are flattering with my eye color, but no brights! I need to remedy that. […]

The Grace of the Feline Aurora

I mostly wanted to play with Meow Aurora Borealis today. It’s a sheer iridescent silver and it’s  really breathtaking. I used MAC Fix + to amp it up. I really like Illamasqua’s Feline. I could see using just the two shades together for a sort of smoky eye effect at some point in the future, but today I also incorporated Santa Cutie, a pretty purple. […]

Burnished Silver

This is more the look that I meant to do last week. I put Meow’s Psychic on my lid for a silvery white effect and Darling Girl’s Mr. Ed in the crease for a coppery peach. This was very simple to do. First I started with TFSI. Then I used a fluffy brush to apply Psychic to the lid. I used an angled crease brush to apply Mr. Ed to the crease. With a highlighter brush I applied Vapour to the browbone and then I used a small smudge brush to apply Vapour to the inner corners of the eye. I applied 24/7 pencil in Flipside to the lower water line and then finished the look with just Lash Blast Volume mascara. I used the Golden Blonde brow pencil to define my brows. […]
