Rituel de Fille Golden Age Look

Rituel de Fille Golden Age Look

Saturday night was my BFF’s birthday party. For us, we usually have pool and hot tub parties, so I didn’t want to get too elaborate with my makeup. Here’s what I ended up doing.

I started with Cover FX Anti-Aging Primer for my face. I dusted Purely Cosmetics Diamond Perfect Finishing Powder all over my face, on top of the primer. I took Cargo OneBase in 01 (sadly this is too dark for me on its own, so next time I’ll know to cut it with Face Atelier Zero Minus to make it light enough to match) and dotted it around my face to cover up my rosacea, as well as at the inner corner of my eyes and my eyelid. This stuff lasts and lasts! I dusted a tiny bit more of Diamond Perfect on my nose and under the eyes. I dabbed a bit of Tarina Tarantino Mr. Pink onto my cheeks for blush and highlighted with tarte champagne highlighter.

I curled my lashes and then I applied Anastasia Lash Genius as a base. I followed that with Cargo LashActivator Mascara Primer, then topped it with another coat of Lash Genius. I decided at the last minute to add a bit of eyeshadow, so I used a synthetic flat brush to put Rituel de Fille Golden Age on my lid. I lined my lower lid with Rituel de Fille Serpent de Mer. I filled in my brows with tarte Brow Architect in Fair, and used the highlighter to highlight at the inner corner and under the brows, then went back and applied tarte Champagne.

I finished the look by adding Too Faced Melted Candy to my lips.

Face

  • Cover FX Anti-Aging Primer
  • Purely Cosmetics Diamond Perfect Finishing Powder
  • Cargo OneBase in 01
  • Tarina Tarantino Mr. Pink – cream blush
  • Tarte Champagne – highlighter

Lips

  • Too Faced Melted Candy

Eyes

  • Purely Cosmetics Diamond Perfect Finishing Powder
  • Cargo OneBase in 01
  • Rituel de Fille Golden Age – lid
  • Rituel de Fille Serpent de Mer – lower lash line
  • Anastasia Lash Genius – primer and top coat
  • Cargo LashActivator Mascara
  • tarte Brow Architect in Fair – brows, highlight

By the way, I have to say that using Cargo OneBase as an eyeshadow primer did not work for me. I know people say that foundation can work just as well as primer, but I think my lids are too oily for that. I did have some eyeshadow creasing after 8 hours. I think the reason it was such minimal creasing is that the Rituel de Fille eyeshadows seem like they’re very long wearing.

I will say that I was very pleased that by the time I got home around 3:30 – 4 am, my face makeup was still going strong! I only spent about 20 minutes in the hot tub and I skipped the pool, so my face didn’t get wet. My eyeliner and foundation stayed in place, which I found impressive. My lipstick had faded to a pink lipstain by the end of the night.

What did you wear this weekend? Anything fun?

  1. you look SUPER AWESOME with that hair, my hair is fine and kinda thin as well so I don’t want to bleach it, I just try to find dark purple store brand colors. its dark blond naturally and it always has red undertone when color washes out. I will try buying pravana vivid purple and color it anyway when the current one washes out. I have seen various images of persons with that haircolor and some don’t seem like they bleached so I am hoping for it to be noticeable at least as a sheen under direct sunlight 🙂
