Happy Tuesday! Today I’ve got a Rihanna BBHMM 90s Grunge Tutorial to share with you.
Rihanna BBHMM 90s Grunge Tutorial
My friend Laura from My Newest Addiction wanted to team up for another music video tutorial (we had a lot of fun doing our Taylor Swift Bad Blood Tutorials), so this time around it’s Rihanna. If you follow me on Pinterest you’ll know that I love Rihanna because of her awesome hair and makeup. She’s not afraid to rock any color of lipstick. Plus, she has a gorgeous voice. In the Bitch Better Have My Money video there’s a point where she wears dark blue lipstick and a 90s inspired outfit, so I decided, why not do a 90s grunge eyeshadow look? Many of you have asked for a tutorial with the new Too Faced Stardust Palette (the Vegas Nay collaboration, see my review), so I used that palette for this tutorial. I only had to use one non-palette eyeshadow, a skintone based matte to blend / fix a mistake, so you should have a shadow like that in your stash. Anyway, Rihanna doesn’t have this exact eye look on, in fact, I think she’s got no eyeshadow on in that scene, but since I fixated on the blue lipstick, it would be pretty boring to just have a tutorial of me applying blue lipstick, hence this grunge look happened.
This post contains a mix of press samples and products purchased by me.

Towards the end of the video you can see what I looked like in the 90s – lots of black eyeliner, pale skin, dark vampy lips and JNCO jeans.
This was definitely me stepping outside of my comfort zone to put together such a brown eyeshadow look but I did have fun with it. It’s mostly in the dome shape and should be a flattering look for hooded eyes.
And yes, Echo is awesome. I love it. Be sure to check out Laura’s post!
