Reviva Labs Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester & DMAE Cream Review

Reviva Labs Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester & DMAE Cream Review

A while back I had the opportunity to try out the Reviva Labs Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester & DMAE Cream. What a crazy long name for a night cream! Sometimes I just wish that companies would go with more succinct, memorable names. Anyway, let’s check this out!

About Reviva Labs Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester & DMAE Cream
Reviva Labs now offers a new answer to helping firm, tighten and “lift” skin with DMAE…as Alpha Lipoic Acid and Vitamin C Ester fight free radicals and future skin aging. As a special Reviva boost, this dramatic trio is encased in a soy liposome for deeper, time release action during the night. Allantoin and Aloe Vera are added to soothe and calm stressed skin, contributing to a healthy, vibrant glow. For supple, more youthful looking skin, it’s another major advance in the battle against skin aging. Benefits: helps improve skin tone and glow as its powerful antioxidant action fights free-radical damage. As your body rests during the night, you have hours of uninterrupted replenishing nutrients that help tighten and “lift” skin to treat the effects of time as it helps fight future skin aging.

Ingredients
Demineralized spring water, glyceryl stearate, soybean oil, stearyl stearate, vegetable oil, cetyl alcohol, soy phospholipid liposome gel, alpha lipoic acid, DMAE bitartrate, ascorbyl palmitate (vit C ester), whole wheat protein, tocopheryl acetate (vit E), retinyl palmitate (vit A), ergocalciferol (vit D), aloe vera gel, allantoin, citric acid, polysorbate 20, simethicone, xanthan gum, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, citric acid.

Packaging
I hate the jar packaging. I always hate jar packaging for anti-aging products, daytime or nighttime moisturizers, or eye creams. Jar packaging should be banned for any product like this! I always worry that all the benefits of the product are fading every time I open it to apply it to my face. I would be much happier with this product if it came in a tube or in an airless pump.

My Experience
Ignoring the awful jar packaging, I love this product. It does not irritate my sensitive, rosacea, oily t-zone combination skin. I’ve used this all over my face and my eyes, and it’s done a wonderful job of making my skin feel moisturized without feeling greasy. A little seems to go a very long way with this cream. It has a  slight smell that’s sort of fresh and it fades immediately for me. I do think it also has brightened my face, much like if I was using a Vitamin C serum, which I really like. When I apply it to my face it feels soothing and cooling. I like texture of the product, as it’s sort of like a creamy gel.

After using this for several weeks, I’ve definitely come to love it. If it was offered in an airless pump packaging or a light tight tube, I wouldn’t be able to stop raving about it. As far as night time moisturizers go, I do love this one and would have no hesitations at purchasing it if it came in better packaging.
