Own Refining Moisture Night Cream Review

Thanks to iFabbo, I had the opportunity to try out the Own Own Refining Moisture Night Cream. You can see my reviews of the Own Firming Silk Concentrate and the Own Lifting Eye Cream. Own is a cruelty-free company that I was happy to meet in LA at IMATS.

The Website Says

Packaging
I need to preface this with I hate jar packaging. I hate sticking my fingers in a jar, even after I’ve washed my face. I wish this was in a tube or an airless pump for stability.

My Thoughts
This is a very nice night cream! Ignoring the packaging and focusing on the product, I really like this moisturizer. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. It makes my face feel moisturized without feeling greasy. It soaks in and leaves your skin soft and non-greasy after application. When I wake up in the morning my skin feels plump and moisturizing, rather than slick. It’s only when I go to cleanse my face in the morning (wet my face) that I can feel any slickness, like a moisture barrier to my skin.

After using it for a few weeks I do feel like it has made my skin softer and I really like it. I think this is a another great addition to the Own line. My only critique is the jar packaging. I hate jar packaging. Ingredients can break down and lose their potency from the exposure to the air. Additionally, I think it’s nice that you get more than 1 ounce for the price.

What do you think of the Own skincare line? Have you seen it at Ulta? Will you try it?

  1. I liked this moisturizer too. It absorbed quickly and well, and it was lightweight but moisturizing enough. I prefer moisturizer in a jar, so I was good with that. 😉
