Makeup Wars Best Brand Urban Decay

Best Urban Decay Products

Happy Monday! It’s time for another Makeup Wars! This time we’re warring about the best makeup brands. I chose Urban Decay for my Best Brand. Urban Decay is a cruelty free company and they have many vegan products as well. While I’m never one to use just one brand, if I had to, I could do it with Urban Decay because they have every type of products that I use. Anyway, I made a video to talk about the brand and some of my favorite products.

Pr + purchased by me.

  1. my favorites for ud are definitely the theodora palette and zodiac! i am very fond of their pencils too and my bf can always tell when i’ve used a black shadow in my arsenal that’s not blackout (his favorite). foxy is my favorite highlight shade of all time. i think i’d have to agree with your choice of ud as a favorite brand. while i don’t love their foundations, i do love their mix of fun colors to edgey neutrals. i love how travel friendly their palettes are too as well as being aesthetically pleasing (just look at how gorgeous theodora and anchary are! i happily stare at them all day) naked 2 is a solid staple in my stash; the good friend you can always count on but don’t hang out with as much as you should. it’s often my go-to when i’m looking for a good inner corner highlight. their good karma blending brush is also a favorite. i use it for both for blending or to lay down a quick wash of diffused color for a quick omg! i’m late & need to get out the door look! my only peeve about it is sometimes i see a really cool color in the pan but it just comes out as a smokey black on me (damage and loaded) and i keep seeing swatches of madness as a bright, shimmery blue but on me it’s a dark, dusty blue. am i do something wrong in application?

    1. Are you using primer? If you are, try patting the color on, rather than brushing it on, so that it looks more like what you’re seeing in the pan.

      1. yes on primer, can’t remember if i’ve tried patting. i’ll give it another whirl. thanks!

  2. There is no question, UD is amazing! Especially for shadows!!! The UD Naked foundation is one of my faves and one of the most natural looking foundations out there! Great post!!! You have an amazing UD collection!!!

  3. I think I’d pick UD, too! Their Wallpaper palette (from 9 years ago!) was my gateway drug into full-blown makeup addiction! They do everything well! Neutrals, brights, and everything in between. 🙂

  4. I like the brand, but I cherry pick from it. I would say that’s quite a UD stash!!

      1. The 24/7 liners, most of the palettes, primer potion. I haven’t tried the new foundation yet, am afraid it doesn’t have enough coverage for me.

  5. WOW! Your post just sent me reeling! 😀 I am glad you mentioned the Glinda palette because I have been eyeing it since it came out and when I got the email the other day about the LOW pricing I always snatched it up! Now I believe I will, although my order will be more more expensive now after seeing some of your swatches! 😀

    1. I Love the Glinda and Theodora palettes. I bought one for a giveaway earlier this year because they are just so awesome! Well worth their price.

  6. Are you sure you like Urban Decay? You barely have any at all. From your reviews I’ve bought so many items in particular the Optical Blurring Brush and Naked foundation. I use them all the time! Your eyeshadows from them just blow me away.

  7. I just knew that you’d pick UD. 🙂 Every time I think of that brand I think of you. And it was you that put me on their amaziiiiiing Naked foundation. I get can’t over how awesome that stuff is.

  8. I live for the 24/7 eye pencils! They are so rich and smudgy, but then completely budge proof! I have to update my stash to include all of the new shades… I’m way behind in my shopping!

  9. You’re spot on. UD has so many awesome items. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your collection. I find myself searching your blog whenever I need to get an idea about color for a UD product. You always have what I’m looking for! 🙂

  10. Oh my goodness! You are the UD queen. I have so many of the Revolution lipsticks on my wish list. Love them

    1. On the bright side, you can always check swatches to see if you have something close to cure the lemming, or give in to the dark side 🙂
