Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Swatches and Review

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Swatches and Review

Recently Makeup Geek released 6 new shades in their cruelty-free eyeshadow line: Nautica, Boo Berry (just in time for Halloween!), Peach Smoothie, Crème Brulee, Prom Night and Drama Queen. I’ve got swatches and a review for you of them, along with 3 of my favorite MUG shades. All of these swatches are on bare skin. You will see better color payoff if you use primer.

Aside from Boo Berry being patchy on my hand, the rest of the colors were smooth. I love the peachy shade Peach Smoothie, as it’s easy to pair up with a hot pink or a teal like Peacock.

Which shades do you like?

Makeup Geek shadows are cruelty-free and retail for $5.99 from MakeupGeek.com.

Some products purchased by me. Some products sent for consideration. All opinions are my own.

  1. I kind of want Boo Berry just for the name, lol. But Nautica and Drama Queen are my favorites.

  2. Ooh more MUG shadows for me to lemming…creme brule, nautica, prom night, drama queen…love them. Thanks for the swatches.

  3. So far, I am finding that I prefer my MUG shadows to MAC or other brands. The MUG shadows are much more pigmented, and they have a soft, creamy texture. I really like that. 🙂

  4. My MUG eyeshadows came in the mail yesterday and I am so excited to try them out. Your swatches helped me decide which ones to get! 🙂 I stuck with neutrals, but I love that Marlena has created neutral beige/peach shades that I don’t have dupes for… that’s quite an accomplishment haha

    1. Catherine bcf Yay! And yes, I love the fact that some of their shades are unique in my collection and their pigmentation/blendability is great.

  5. Thanks for the swatches Phyrra. I have been thinking about purchasing Boo Berry and maybe peach smoothie. I am really loving these MUG shadows. 🙂 But, that will have to wait until I get paid at the end of the month.
