Kat Von D Beethoven Palette

After seeing a beautiful look by the Pretty Erin of the Pretty Exclusive, I just had to get the Kat Von D Beethoven palette. It’s made up of 8 colors, and comes in a really nice graphic black case with a rose pattern. I really love the case, actually.

Speed Blue – dark metallic blue
Razor Gray – warm gun steel shimmer
Tequila – metallic cornsilk shimmer
Galeano – metallic medium plum shimmer
Sinner – metallic purple black shimmer
Rad Purple – matte purple black with purple glitter
Leather – matte dark brown

Galeano is almost a neutral mauvey purple metallic to me.

Price:
$34 for Size: 8 x 0.05 oz

I really like the shades in this palette and think it will be nice for travel. I swatched all the shades on Meow Light Primer. They actually seem to have good pigmentation and texture.

This is the first Kat Von D that I’ve tried. I’ve often admired her looks but hadn’t ever felt like I had to take the plunge and purchase her makeup until this palette. What do you think of the pretty shades?

Product purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

  1. I loooove her palettes, I was really surprised by how soft and buttery the shades were! I’m glad she seems to have got rid of the token cream shadow with her newer releases, because those dried out and became useless very quickly 🙁

  2. Speedblue definitely grabs my attention. And the Tattoo Chronicles 2 palette really caught my eye today when I was out browsin’.

  3. I love her palettes! I have Ludwig and True Love. I like Ludwig much, much more, but both are fabulous. I’ve been lusting after Beethoven for a long time! Her shadows last a long time and blend really well 🙂

  4. I haven’t gotten any palettes–that one seemed a bit neutral to me. But I *love* her brush set, and the one mini lipstick I tried from the lipstick set I got on Sephora. And the perfumes.

Despite all the controversy, I love Kat von D and would LOVE to have her tattoo me!

  5. I love the Kat Von D palettes. I had initially put off getting this one because I didn’t think I could wear the colors but I was wrong. I think anyone could make a bunch of interesting looks with just this palette.
