My Golden Weekend Look

My Golden Weekend Look

I want to share my weekend look with you. This past weekend was the weekend after my birthday. 1 of my local friends and I share the same birthday and he had a weekend long celebration. (Another of my friends in Orlando has a birthday the same day too!) This is what I wore Saturday.

Pr + purchased by me.

My Golden Weekend Look

Urban Decay Honey Eyeshadow

I’d forgotten how nice a simple look with Too Faced Shadow Insurance Candlelight can look. I love how well it worked with Urban Decay Honey eyeshadow. I didn’t do too bad a job of making Anastasia Dipbrow in Dark Brown look natural.

My Golden Weekend Look

Eyes

  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance Candlelight
  • Urban Decay Honey – lid
  • Urban Decay Perversion Mascara (vegan)
  • Anastasia Dipbrow in Dark Brown

Face

  • MAC Lightscapade
  • Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Colour Pencil in Hoochie (vegan) – to line the lips
  • Morgana Cryptoria lipstick in Nyx (vegan)

Hair

  • Living Proof Prime Style Extender
  • Living Proof Straight Spray
  • Batiste XXL Plumping Powder
  • Marc Anthony Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray

Again I relied on Mirvaso to make my skin look good enough to skip foundation. I’m so glad my dermatologist talked me into giving it a try. I was skeptical but I’m so pleased with the results. It’s nice to be able to skip foundation and blush if I want!

Speaking of trying new things, OMG Living Proof Prime Style Extender and Straight Spray are awesome. I picked up both of these from Sephora a while back but didn’t use them both together until this weekend. After washing my hair and using Pretty Little Elixir Vegan Hair Masque, I applied Prime Style Extender before I blow dried. Then I used Straight Spray while I was flat ironing my hair. Finally, I finished off with some Batiste XXL Plumping Powder. This stuff is no joke! It does a better job than my old Redken Powder Grip on my hair. I set it with my Marc Anthony Volume Shine Spray. This is apparently my dream team of hair products.

What products have you been loving for your hair lately?

  1. I tried the Living Proof line on my hair and it did not work well. I guess maybe my hair is too thick. Some brands at Sally Beauty Supply worked (Ion). But I am looking forward to tryin6g the Marc Anthony line.

    1. My hair is on the fine side, so that’s entirely possible. I do like the Sally’s Ion line! They make some great products.

        1. It’s seriously the Mirvaso. The bad thing is, it only lasts 6 to 12 hours. But without it, I think my skin looks great 🙂 I’m having a consult next week for IPL, which can make it go away.

          1. please write a post about IPL, my rosacea is somewhat mild but still I wish I could go out during the day without a powder/bb cream on my face, if anything could do it, I’d be glad 🙂

            1. Hi! I actually just had my consult about IPL today. I can’t get in for my first session until July 31st (they’re that booked!), but they said if you are extremely fair skinned like I am, that makes you a good candidate. Right now, I am using Mirvaso and that makes it so I can go without makeup. have you talked to your dermatologist about mirvaso?

              1. I don’t have a doctor and I am in Canada, I am not sure we have that one here! I tend to mostly use stuff I can get without a doctor, I haven’t been to a doctor for a decade I guess except for some voluntary cosmetic adjustments and such 🙂 I am nw10-15 🙂

  2. Lovely look!
I like when everything is simple and allmost natural, but beautiful!
and that s what I think , you re really pretty!

    1. Thank you! I think the mascara + lippy really work wonders to widen my eyes and brighten my face. Pink lipstick always makes me happy.

  3. I’ve been testing out Living Proof too and the brand is amazing! My favorite so far is the serum. I have fine hair and this is the first time it doesn’t feel greasy with the added step. Love it! And happy belated birthday!

    1. Thanks so much Alison! I haven’t tried the serum but I’ll have to check it out. The Prime stuff is like a cream and it’s definitely dreamy.
