Fortune Cookie Soap Box Witch Please! Fall 2014

Fortune Cookie Soap Box Witch Please! Fall 2014

Fortune Cookie Soap Box Witch Please! Fall 2014 is a really neat themed box. The theme is, as I’m sure you can guess, a mixture of both the Wizard of Oz and Wicked. I love it! It’s awesome.

There’s No Place Like Home Fortune Cookie Soap
This is a super cute red glittery soap in the shape of a fortune cookie. It smells like cinnamon and apples. I actually have no idea what to do with this since I use liquid soap dispensers all over the house, but it’s definitely cute.

Roy G Biv OCD Hand Sanitizer
This is a citrus smelling hand sanitizer. It’s perfect to toss into my purse and take with me. Love it!

Swankified Walnut Facial Scrub
I can’t use this on my face, sadly, because my skin is too sensitive. However, Ray has graciously volunteered to take it off my hands. It smells great, sort of like cake batter swirled with bananas.

Miss Popular Bubble Bath Powder
This is supposed to smell like honey with star anise, star jasmine, sweet orange and blushing violet. I’m saving it for a night when I’m having a soak after the gym. I’m hoping that I love it like I do Fortune Cookie’s OMGWTFudge.

Hair Flip Hair Oil
This is a nice scent of hazelnut and buttery vanilla cream. The oil is for hair, but I would imagine it could work for cuticles too.

Flying Monkeys Personal Space Air Freshener
I’m not so fond of this one, probably because it has watermelon. The notes are peach, watermelon, neroli, jasmine and ripe bananas.

The Shiz Perfume Oil
This is not a Phyrra friendly scent. It’s made of damp balsam woods, maple leaves, dawn blossom, laurel and sweet clove. I don’t like this at all.

Finally, the great thing about this box is that you get 1 of 4 of the whipped creams.

The four scents are

  • Wicked, Good – orange, apple, pear, pineapple and cherries with pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and warm vanilla infused sugar.
  • BFFs – blueberries and pumpkins with warm cake
  • Green is the New Black – sweet pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, brown sugar and whipped cream
  • No Good Deed – pumpkin puree, ground cinnamon, vermont maple syrup, rum, french vanilla, carmelized sugar

The scent I received is Wicked, Good, and it’s delicious. I love it. I also want to try BFFs.

The last item in the box is a $10 coupon code towards the Fall Launch party of the Witch, Please collection.

Now, getting a box like this, just like any subscription service, is a mixed bag. You end up with products you may not be able to use or may not like.

The products I’m not able to use are The Shiz perfume oil, Flying Monkeys Personal Space Air Freshener, Swankified Walnut Facial Scrub, and There’s No Place Like Home Fortune cookie soap.

The products I do like are Wicked, Good Whipped Cream, Hair Flip Hair Oil, Miss Popular Bubble Bath and Roy G Biv OCD Hand Sanitizer.

I will be looking to pick up more items in Wicked, Good and BFFs scents.

If you’re looking for product type recommendations from me for Fortune Cookie soap, I like the Milk Baths, Sugar Scrubs, perfume oils and body butters.

This collection launches on August 29, 2014 at 6:30 pm CST / 7:30 pm EST.

  1. Mad. I have a friend for whom these will be a perfect Christmas gift – hope the store is back online before then

  2. I loved my box! The only item i did not like was the bubble bath powder, frankly…it sucked….hardly any bubbles at all, and the scent wasn’t one of my favorites. If it had produced excellent bubbles I would have been fine with the scent but neither worked in my book. I love love my WC in Wicked, Good. I want to try all of them. I love the scent of the FCS also, and am hoping for some other items in the scent as I won’t actually use the soap…except maybe on display, lol.

  3. this was my first box from them and i am just blown away. the only thing i have yet to try is the bath powder, because my tub is disgusting. haha i am insanely in love with the soap! it smells so stinkin good and i seriously love that sometimes i still have glitter on my body because i just want glitter everywhere all the time. haha

  4. Such a cool theme! I keep hearing about this company, but I’ve never actually tried anything from them. Looks great!

  5. I’ve never heard of these products but it’s sounds interesting. I really like the soap holder idea down below too.

  6. I put my fortune cookie soaps into soap holders like the ones in the picture below & use them in the shower as body wash. This way you can work up a good lather & they smell fantastic! I also think they’re super cute to put out in a pretty soap dish in a guest bathroom.

    1. I’ve never seen soap holders like this but this is a super clever idea! I love it! Do you do this with all bar soap? Where do you get these?

      1. I normally use liquid soap on a “normal” loofah except for putting my fortune cookie soaps from the soap boxes in these things. But the men in my family all put bar soaps in these things. That way you get the nice lather from a liquid soap but the cheapness of bar soaps. You can pick them up in Walmart, Meijer, CVS, Walgreen’s with the other poofs/loofahs.
