Favorite Travel Beauty Products

It’s a Makeup Wars Monday! This time I’m sharing my cruelty free Favorite Travel Beauty Products. I usually feel like I pack too many beauty products, but it’s because it’s so hard for me to narrow things down! I don’t want to forget something that I’ll need.

Pr + purchased by me.

Eyes

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
I still think this is one of the best palettes you can get. It’s so useful. You can dress it up with bright or sparkly shades or use it for simple looks.  6 shades – 1 demi-matte and 5 matte . It’s a steal for the price!

Urban Decay Build Your Own Palette
I have the 6 pan Build Your Own, as well as a few 4 pans and I love these for travel. I typically take Cobra (black with gold iridescence, vegan), Pistol (greyish brown), Half-Baked (golden bronze, vegan), Vanilla (iridescent white gold) Verve (light grey pearl), and Haight (mermaid blue, vegan). Sometimes Aura (iridescent pink and iridescent blue) from the Oz palette makes an appearance.

Sugarpill Acidberry, Darling and Magentric
I need brights to come with me, so I typically bring these Sugarpill shades. Acidberry is lime green, Darling is a gorgeous bright teal blue, and Magentric is a deep magenta. Vegan.

Cover FX Anti-Age Smoothing Eye Primer
This stuff is awesome. It’s a white-based eyeshadow primer that lasts all day. It gives you true to color results with eyeshadow. Vegan.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
This is my all time favorite mascara. It’s gotta be by my side. See my review.

Brows

Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini-Duo Angled Spooly 7 Brush
I actually own 2 of these because I forgot one on my trip to Chicago and could not live without it. It makes it easy to fill in my brows and groom them. Vegan.

Too Faced Bulletproof Brows
I’ve been using this a lot lately to fill in my brows. The shade Universal Taupe has grown on me and I like how it looks. See my review.

Face
What foundation and primer I take depends upon how my skin is acting at the time.

Too Faced Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer
This is a great primer from Too Faced. Right now I’ve got normal to dry skin on the cheeks and under the eyes, and I feel like my pores look huge, so I want something that will minimize the appearance of pores and help my foundation stay in place, rather than slide around. This does a great job. Vegan.

Cover FX CC Cream Time Release Tinted Treatment SPF 30
I adore this CC Cream and it does well with my finicky skin. Check out the neat shade finder at Cover FX’s website to find your perfect match. See my review. Vegan.

Silk Naturals Flattery Illuminating Powder
I really love this powder. It does a great job helping to lock in my foundation and give me a good glow. Vegan.

Cheeks

NARS Adult Content Cheek Palette
This palette is PERFECT for travel! You can use each shade individually or mix them for your perfect shade. It gives you cool, neutral, or warm blush options. LE, hard to find now.

It Cosmetics Vitality Face Disc
Since the NARS is hard to find, I wanted to recommend an alternative cheek product for you. This Face Disk is nice. It’s got a matte bronzer to contour, a highlighter and a gorgeous blush shade.

Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Duo
This is my favorite highlighter, so I need it with me. See my holy grails.

Lips
Lips are going to change with the season and my mood, but here’s what I’d pack to take with me right now.

Bite Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayons
I now have Grape, Satsuma and Kumquat. These 3 shades are easy to apply since they’re in a pencil form and they travel well. See my review.

Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream
I just purchased Moscato (bright pink) and Napa (deep cotton candy pink), as both are really flattering on my skintone. They’re comfortable to wear and very pretty. Napa is perfect for a demure lip, while Moscato is great for a bold.

Skincare

Supergoop! SPF 35+ Save Face Oil-Free A.M. Moisturizer
This is my all time favorite daytime moisturizer with SPF and I always need it with me. See my review.

Supergoop! SPF 30+ UVA/UVB MintFusion Lip Balm
This really is my favorite lip balm and I use it multiple times a day. I love the fact that it has spf and shea butter. I use it at night too, when I travel.

Paula’s Choice Moisture Boost Cream
I just started using this under my eyes during the day. It gives my skin the extra moisture that it craves. I also use it as an eye cream at night and to add additional moisture to my face at night. Vegan.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum
This is perfect to use under any moisturizer for anti-aging benefits. See my review. Vegan.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator
I prefer this night cream – without the retinol – because I can’t use retinol all the time. It still has great anti-aging benefits. Vegan.

Decanted Products
I typically decant the following products and take them in travel size containers with me.

Paula’s Choice Gentle Touch Makeup Remover
I just bought another bottle of this makeup remover. It’s my favorite. See my review. Vegan.

Abbey St. Clare Aniba Cleanser
This is a wonderful, moisturizing cleanser and it smells like chamomile. So soothing! See my review.

DermOrganic Daily Conditioning Shampoo
This is a great shampoo with argan oil and it’s perfect for cleansing my hair. See my best sulfate free shampoos and conditioners. Silicone free. Vegan.

  1. I have a problem taking only the bare minimum when I travel, but I’m working on it! I would be lost without my palettes. The last trip I took, I took the Urban Decay Shattered Face Case, and it was perfect for the few days, though I needed more lippies. And maybe a few more eyeliners.

  2. I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate the work you put into organizing and reviewing different products. It helps me write my own wish list and inspires me with new ideas.

  3. Great choices. I was afraid to do cosmetics or I’d have a list way too long. There are several items on your list that I have on a wishlist post while there are others that I love too.

  4. Lots of good picks! Have u tried out e.l.f.’s buildable palette, in comparison to UD’s? It’s not as artsy, but it seems to get the job done! I bought mine so I can throw some Makeup Geek in there. Just debating what colors :3

  5. Your blog is terrible for me. I always come away with a wishlist and a desire to dye my hair in rainbows. <3

  6. I love the Too Faced Primed & Poreless and I also have Primed & Poreless Pure for days when my skin is being more sensitive, these are awesome face primers!

  7. These are some great picks! I still need to pick up the Urban Decay Basics palette, and I’d love to try the Cover FX CC Cream at some point.

My sunscreen of choice right now is the MDSOLARSCIENCES Mineral Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 50 UVA-UVB Sunscreen. A lot of sunscreens irritate my skin (I have rosacea) but this one doesn’t. Also, it has a very silky texture–almost like a primer.

    1. I know what you mean about sunscreens and rosacea! This Supergoop is my favorite because it doesn’t irritate mine or bother my eyes, like a lot of them do.

  8. I’m dying to try the bite lip creams. They are SO gorgeous! I splurged and purchased the bite lip mask a few weeks ago and it has saved my lips. It has lanolin in it though. I’m curious if that’s a no-go for you?

    1. Yes, I have the lip mask and I know it has lanolin in it. I’m not fond of the ingredient and I try to avoid it, generally. It’s made from sheep grease from sheep wool (combing the sheep hair), from my understanding.

  9. It’s better to have and not need then to need and not have, right? I am going to try out most of your skincare products! thanks for sharing. =)

  10. Amazing picks. I went and bought the Cover FX CC cream and OMG I live it. Pigmented and awesome. And those Bite Beauty matte cream pencils are GORGEOUS!!!! love Sastuma its such a beautiful color. Great picks.
