Too Faced Liquified Long Wear Liptsicks Review Swatches

I’ve been excited about the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks as soon as I saw the first teaser on Instagram for them. I’m happy to have them to share with you today. I’ve got 7 shades total – 6 from the main collection and a 7th that was a Sephora VIB Insider shade that I purchased.

PR + purchased by me.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks Review

Too Faced is cruelty free and the Melted Lipsticks are vegan!

About Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks
Get the staying power of a stain, the intense color of a liquid lipstick and the high shine of a gloss in one long-wear formula. Using exclusive technology to keep cauldrons of molten lipsticks liquid and creamy, Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick comfortably coats lips in bursts of intense, high-impact, super rich, saturated color that lasts for hours.

  • Too Faced Co-Founder and Creative Director Jerrod Blandino had never seen lipstick more beautiful, intense, rich and glossy than when it’s in its melted form in the cosmetic labs. With this inspiration, we created a lipstick liquified so it doesn’t lose its pigment or shine while keeping a comfortable, flexible and cushiony wear.
  • Provides high-impact, super rich, saturated pigment in a long-wear formula.
  • Precision tip applicator to allow for a clean, effortless application each time (no liner needed!)
  • Cruelty free
  • Vegan

My Thoughts
First, the applicator is genius. It allows for very precise application. I love it! So you don’t need to use a lip pencil with these unless you want to. I also like that it’s a squeeze tube, which makes it easy to get the product out.

Second, the formula is amazing. It’s moisturizing and does not emphasize dryness. Yet it’s able to last for hours. I wore Nude to the gym and it lasted through me guzzling water while I was there for an hour and a half (I had applied it about 2 hours before going). Yes it did need a bit of a touch up, but I was amazed that it lasted. I wore Peony through breakfast, lunch and tea time and still had some stain left on my lips. For me, I’ve been able to get the colors to last 4 to 6 hours, but at the end of that time frame I definitely need a touch up.

While I don’t think that Coral or Nude are the most flattering colors on me, I love the rest of the shades and think that they’re very flattering with my skintone. I do think that there is at least 1, if not more shades, for all skintones in this collection.

These are very pigmented products, which I adore. They’re creamy, yet comfortable. You could blot them for a more matte effect if you like. These are not going to flake off on you, nor are they going to cause your lips to flake off, which has happened to me with some of the first long wearing lipsticks that I ever tried. Ew!

The Melted Lipsticks are also a great value for the price. The Kat Von D long wearing liquid lipsticks are $19 for .18 oz, while these are $21 for .40 oz. You’re getting more than twice the amount of product for only $2 more.

I think these are amazing and I hope Too Faced decides to keep them around. If they were looking for shades to add, I think a deep burgundy wine and a black would look great.

What do you think of the Too Faced Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks? What shades do you like best?

Pros

  • Cruelty free
  • Vegan
  • Great value for the price
  • Comfortable, pigmented, long wearing formula
  • Great packaging

Cons

  • Some people may feel that 6 shades is too limiting

  1. I love them all…but, I guess Fuchsia is my favorite. I can’t wait to try these!!

  2. Incredible giveaway!!! 😀 I think Coral look gorgeous on you! All the shades in this line are incredibly beautiful (though I don’t think I could pull off Nude). Of course Melted Candy had to be my favorite shade… >.< I hope so much it comes back! I need it and I kept missing it, even with email notifications! I hope Too Faced makes these a permanent item too. The are amazing!

I love the inspiration behind them – "Too Faced Co-Founder and Creative Director Jerrod Blandino had never seen lipstick more beautiful, intense, rich and glossy then when it is in its melted form in the cosmetic lab vats." I want to see giant vats of gorgeous vibrant glossy color! 😀

  3. I still like Melted Ruby the best, but I saw Nude on KarenMBB and was kind of blown away. It was so fabulous on her tanned complexion I’m considering it for myself 🙂

  4. Melted Candy is definitely my favorite 🙂 though Coral is pretty gorgeous too, they look great with your blue hair! I love bright and colorful makeup with bright and colorful hair lol.

  5. I have the Coral one and it’s phenomenal, I love the texture! I would love to win the Ruby and Fuchsia. It’s seriously the best lipstick I’ve ever tried and they are so pretty 🙂

  6. HI! I really like the colors Peony & Coral. They look super pretty on you! Thanks

  7. Fuchsia or Violet are screaming my name! I often wear nude shadows and love adding a bright color on my lips. It’s one of the ways I’m comfortable wearing the colors I wish I could pull off on my lids.

  8. Love how saturated the colors are on these and no need for a lipliner…yay!

  9. May be a long shot, I finally got to try one and fell in love. I really wanted the candy one from sephora, do you by chance know of they are bringing it back? So should have got it when I had the chance 🙁

  10. I just bought Melted Fuchsia and Melted Ruby and love them! Sephora was out of Melted Violet so I need to go back for that!

  11. I’m so glad you swatched them all. I luckily picked Peony which is the only one I’d be comfortable in and I love it. I wish they’d make a lighter pink too. You rock the fuschia one.

  12. I need the violet and peony. I keep putting it off and saying I don’t need them but I swear – I don’t think I can. Gorgeous swatches – thank you Phyrra. 😉

  13. These are so pretty. Why did they have to put a cinnamate in the formula? Waaahhh…

  14. yep, melted candy is a lot like ellis faas hot lips L404, but glossier. the pics i took didnt really do the color justice.

  15. I actually found them a wee bit drying. Not painfully so, but I definitely wanted a lip balm about an hour to two into wearing them. I do like them the one I have, and I’m debating whether or not to purchase a second. My favorite thing about them is that I can decide how heavy to apply them without using a lip brush.

  16. OMG Peony, Violet and Nudr are calling my name badly!!!! Wow these are gorgeous! I do think 6 shades is so not enugh but my fingers are crossed that they may add more. Great post!!!

  17. I really like them all a lot on you, but Nude is just kind of blah. I’m so used to brights on you!! I haven’t tried these yet. I was afraid they’d be too drying on me like the Lip Tars. I think I might give Peony or Fuchsia a try! I’d love to see them add a Berry shade, something in between Candy and Fuchsia and deeper.
