Too Faced Bulletproof Brows Review

Too Faced Bulletproof Brows Review

Hi! Today I’ve got the Too Faced Bulletproof Brows Eyebrow Definer to show you. This is an all new brow formula and product from Too Faced and it’s really impressive. It comes in two shades, Universal Taupe and Universal Brunette. I believe Taupe can be worn by blondes, redheads, and light to medium brown haired individuals. I think Brunette is probably best suited to darker brown and black hair. I have Taupe to show you, which I think is a touch too light for me, but I love the formula.

Wearing Universal Taupe Bulletproof Brows

My Thoughts
This is a really nice brow product! I got 12 hours of wear without budging! It’s lasted through me hanging out in the hot tub and working out. While I haven’t tested it for the 24 hour claims I’ve done 12 and 14 now with no issue. So this stuff is pretty amazing with the wear. I really like the formula and find its description of “powder, gel, pencil and setting wax all- in-one cashmere clay formula” to be pretty accurate. It really is similar to the tarte amazonian clay brow mousse in consistency to me.

While I think the Universal Taupe is a touch too light for me, it’s the most universal brow shade I’ve ever tried. I haven’t tried Universal Brunette yet, but I have the feeling that it will be perfect for darker hair. I like the formula and texture, as it’s similar to my favorite Tarte Brow Mousse (.10 oz for $28), which is easy for me to work with. It’s a drier formula rather than a wetter one, like Anastasia Dipbrow (.14 oz for $18), so you don’t have to worry about overloading your brush and making a mess.

Pros

  • Long wearing
  • Great formula
  • As close to a universal shade as I’ve ever seen
  • Comes with a duo ended brush for application

Cons

  • Slightly more expensive than other similar brow products

What do you think of the Too Faced Bulletproof Brows? Have you tried them?

  1. Sounds great to me, and I love the look on you, I love how you say it’s the closest you’ve found to universal, I constantly have problems with brow products being too intensely dark! I think that I’ll try this one, and the NYX for a more bold look. I’ve already ordered the Anastasia Dipbrow so I’m looking forward to comparing the three!

  2. I am always on the search for the perfect eyebrow product, I’m sort of obsessed with my brows. This one seems to be getting some great reviews. A little steep on the price for my budget, but it looks amazing on you.

  3. That looks nice but the color might be a bit off for me. I’m so not good with brow products but I’m trying to find the perfect one.

  4. This seems like a really great one! I’d love to try it.. very natural looking and can’t believe it stays for so long!

  5. That sounds like a good one! Most of the brow products flake off of me by the end of the day, and I hate that feeling. I need to try this one for sure 🙂

  6. I’d definitely need the Brunette one. Maybe I need a hot tub to really test and review products. Think I’ll run that one past the hubby…. lol

    1. I found the Anastasia Dipbrow very wet so it’s easy to overload your brush. I haven’t reviewed mine yet because I’m trying to see if I can figure out how to work with it. I much prefer the drier formula of the Too Faced and Tarte.

  7. That universal shade might be just a touch too dark for me but it looks like an amazing brow product!!!

    1. yeah see I think it’s a touch too light for me but it looks REALLY good on the blondes and redheads I’ve seen wearing it. I put it on a friend of mine who is a natural redhead and it just seemed perfect.

  8. My brows are ALL OVER THE PLACE. I have to look into this. BTW, your eye makeup looks amazing.

  9. This looks like it will be great for me too! I also have sparse brows, and like something long wearing. I will definitely have to swatch to see which shade will work better. 🙂

  10. Hey Phyrra, thanks for the review! I’ve been pretty intrigued, but so far I haven’t taken the plunge! I have a pathetic amount of eyebrow hair, so I need stuff that will adhere to bare skin as well as actually lasting through the day. Sounds like this one just might work!
