Anastasia Hypercolor Brow & Hair Powder Review

Anastasia Hypercolor Brow and Hair Powder Review and Swatches

Before Christmas, I received the Anastasia Hypercolor Brow & Hair Powders for review. I’ve been playing with them ever since. I’ve reviewed them elsewhere, but realized I never did a formal review here! They’re so great, they need to have me sing their praises. While these can be used as hair chalk for temporary vivid pops of color on your hair, I’ve stuck to using them to fill in my brows to match my rainbow hair.

Electric Blue thoroughly impressed me. I think it’s the brightest of the bunch!

In the Pink explicitly says it’s not meant for use around the eyes. I decided to risk using it in my eyebrows but Anastasia does not recommend it for this purpose. I think it matched my Hot Pink hair nicely.

I think Teal Tornado a beautiful true teal, leaning neither green nor blue.

Mega Watt Green is super plush and a beautiful chartreuse shade.

Wearing Ultra Violet

Originally I felt like Ultra-Violet wasn’t very pigmented. However, after wearing it several times, I actually love how it looks. It might be my favorite of the bunch!

All of these colors can be used safely on your hair to add a pop of color without spending the time to lighten and color your hair. For your brows, you can apply directly with a brow brush. You can also use a brow wax to make the color more intense, and then set it with clear brow gel. I tend to prefer to use it dry rather than with a brow wax or gel. I think they work perfectly with my rainbow hair and I love that right now I can wear any of them and they all coordinate with my hair.

I so desperately wish that these were available in Anastasia’s amazing tinted brow gel formula, too.

These Hypercolor Brow Powders are the brightest things that I’ve ever seen out of Anastasia and I absolutely love them. I think they’re an awesome product and I’ve been using them non-stop for over 6 months.

What do you think of the Hypercolor Brow Powders? Have you tried them?

  1. I’ll have to give these another shot. I have the purple one and I kind of hated it. It crumbled and wouldn’t leave any color in my hair and didn’t seem to want to do anything on my brows either. I think maybe I should have just picked another color, though. (I’d had the pink in my hand and switched it at the last minute, doh!)
