Anastasia Catwalk Palette Review

Anastasia Catwalk Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hi there! I’ve got the Anastasia Catwalk Palette for you today. Every Ulta I went into around Tampa told me that there was no Catwalk Palette when I tried to pick it up here. After trying to chase down this palette locally, I finally just ordered it from Ulta.com.

Anastasia Catwalk Packaging

Anastasia Beverly Hills is cruelty-free.

Price
$29 for 10 shadows for .315 oz ($156 value, not sure how they calculated the value)

Matte shades = .035 oz each (3 matte)
Shimmer shades = .030 oz each (7 shimmer)

For reference, a typical MAC refill pan is .05 oz for $12. The typical Anastasia Illumin8 eyeshadow duos are .04 each (so .08 per duo) and cost $23. To equal .315 oz, it would be about 4 of the Anastasia duos, which would cost $92. I’m not sure what the remaining $64 breaks down into. Maybe $24 for the book and $40 for the brush? The Anastasia website and the Ulta website don’t elaborate on this point, so it’s pure speculation on my part.

Anastaia catwalk Eyeshadows

The Website Says
I got my start in the beauty industry by working on some of the most famous faces to ever walk the runways. Being backstage at a fashion show, working with supermodels, and being surrounded by beautiful clothes, lights, and makeup are still the most exciting parts of my job. That’s why I created Catwalk. Its 10 pigment-rich shadows in warm matte and shimmering neutrals were designed to create bold cat eyes, sleek contoured looks, and ready-to-wear washes of color in minutes that remind me of the energy and excitement of fashion week. Add in a professional blending and lining brush, and it’s the next best thing to being backstage.

Packaging
While I love love love the dappled leopard packaging, I really dislike that the names for the colors aren’t printed on the inside or the bottom of the palette. I could take or leave the mirror, not thrilled by it but not put off by it. The brush that came with it was ok.

Colors
My only gripe with the color selection is that not one of these shades can be used as a highlight on my skintone. Everything is too dark for me. For a neutral palette, this is fun. I think I love it so much because of Call Back, Scout, RTW, Strut and 10k.

I’ve already done one tutorial with this palette and really liked the results. I can’t wait to do more looks!

If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up and share it 🙂 And don’t forget to subscribe to my channel!

With the exception of Day Rate and Beauty Mark (both mattes), the rest of the shades were easy to work with and I found them to be nicely pigmented.

Overall, I think this is a great purchase for $29 and would definitely fall under a worthy splurge! (see my Beginner’s Guide to Smart Beauty Splurges and Steals for more) I feel like you get a good amount of product for the price. I’m happy I picked it up. I think it’s a fun neutral palette without being boring!

What do you think of the Anastasia Catwalk Palette?  Do any of the colors jump out at you?

  1. Shame about the mattes but still, $29 is so good! From your swatches Strut and Pose look like my faves!

    1. trumpette They were workable, but not easy to work with, except the black. The black was easy to work with. Not sure why the other two weren’t.

  2. Wow the shades swatch so much better than they look in the palette. Of course Cindy is the best look! LOL

  3. Pretty colors, and I love the look you did with it!  I like that most of these shades are warm.  I haven’t tried Anastasia for anything other than brows, but the shadows have been catching my attention lately for sure.

  4. I think this is my fav palette that I have seen in a while. All the colors look like they would go beautifully together and could be an everyday staple.
