9 Palettes You Seriously Need to Know About

9 Cruelty Free Palettes You Seriously Need to Know About - Phyrra.net

Today I’m sharing 9 palettes you seriously need to know about. There are some cute blogger collaborations coming out from indie brands like Saucebox and Colour Pop. Also, the coveted KVD eye contour palette just launched, And of course, Paula’s Choice came out with a stellar blush palette.

1. Colour Pop Where the Light Is Palette
This is a collaboration with youtube star Kathleenlights launching on April 9 (today!). It looks like this is made of a creamy vanilla matte, a light taupe brown matte, rich gold with bronzey tones and a pearly olive green. (likely will be vegan)

2. Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette
This is currently available to VIB Rouge & VIB at Sephora. I purchased it but it hasn’t arrived yet. Base shades in Laetus (creamy nude), Lazarus (cool taupe), Ludwin (peachy bronze) Contour shades in Samael (dusty fawn), Saleos (smoky brown), Succubus (rich rust) Define shades in Solas (espresso brown), Shax (jet black), Sytry (chocolate brown) Highlight shades in Lucius (soft beige), Liberatus (pinkish ivory), Latinus (golden bisque) and a step by step contouring guide for the eyes.

3. Saucebox Batalash Palette
This palette is coming out SOON! I cannot wait to order it! It looks like it has a creamy vanilla, mid-tone taupe brown, rich red-toned brown, black, metallic rusty orange, metallic yellow green, rich teal, and metallic maroon. The last 3 shades look killer.

4. Paula’s Choice Blush It On Face Contour Palette
Really more of a blush palette than a contour palette, this is a fantastic mix of blush shades. 5 blushes and 1 contour – Pearl, Bronze, Delicate Coral, Dusty Rose, Peony and Soft Mauve. It launched in March. You can see my swatches here. This is a gluten free and vegan palette.

5. Too Faced Sugar Pop Palette
This is a super fun, candy inspired color palette from Too Faced! It has a true purple shade – Sugared Violet, as well as a splash of aqua from Blue Raspberry, bubbly pink Bubblegum and peachy Macaron. See my review.

6. tarte Showstopper Clay Palette
You know I’m a sucker for these tarte disc palettes and I bought this one as well. Eyeshadows in Showstopper Copper (bronze copper), Go for the Gold (gold), You’re a Natural (nude), Steel the Scene (steel taupe), Rose to the Top (rose gold) and Dim the Lights (black brown) blush in Fame (warm peach) matte waterproof bronzer in Park Ave Princess, and highlighter in Champagne Pink.

7. tarte Empower Flower Amazonian Clay Collector’s Palette
My BFF has been gushing about this palette. I’ve been tempted because of the blushes. Eye shadow in Compassionate (cream shadow), Vivacious (rose gold shadow), Pretty (bronze shadow), Powerful (dark brown shadow), Energetic (taupe shadow), Eco-chic (light plum shadow), Charitable (soft pink shadow), Glamorous (dark plum shadow) Blush in Trustworthy (nude mauve), Empowering (rose nude) & Bronzer in Park ave princess™ (shimmering) .

8. Too Faced Natural Matte Eye Palette
For matte lovers, this is a really cute portable palette. I have an upcoming review on it. Eyeshadows in Cashmere Bunny, Sexspresso, Strapless, Risqué, Honey Butter, Chocolate Cookie, Heaven, Lace Teddy, and Nudie.

9. It Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Vitality Crème Disc
This is a pretty cream face palette with a coral blush, matte bronzer and crème illuminator.

While I certainly wish there were more bright eyeshadow palettes out there, if you want a brights palette and don’t have it yet, you should consider the Urban Decay Electric Palette. (See my review.)

What new cruelty free palettes are out there that you feel people should check out? Let me know!

  1. Oh my gosh, I can’t wait for the Saucebox, I’m literally a convert for life after the Etude! Those shades sound gorgeous! I always tell everyone who loves matte neutrals that the Etude is a total must have. I reach for it almost everyday! The Too Faced Matte I’m stoked about too, it’s like they read my mind…I was waiting for them to come out with a matte version of Natural Eyes, and the shades look totally revamped! The Kat Von D also looks like one I’d like! And the PC Blush it On I just ordered so I can’t wait to review it! I’m almost done with my post on pink nudes-it’s going to be Spring/Summer instead of just Spring because the Summer collections are out, too many to keep up with!!!

      1. @phyrra:disqus I know!!!!! Did they give you an approximate date or no? I definitely need to keep checking the site daily for it, I don’t want to miss out! I need to get a tutorial up on the ETUDE! Oh here is my facebook page for my blog, I’m going to link this post and your blog on there as a resource for sure! https://www.facebook.com/CFluxebeauty The link to my blog site is on there, but I will give it to you again when I have an actual domain-I need to do that asap, no one could possibly remember the site name now LOL

      2. Do you think they might send it to you earlier so you can review/swatch it?? That would be amazing! I ordered mine:) It will also be a multipurpose palette I’m sure like the Etude! I love that it gives you neutrals plus color in one palette-you usually don’t get that! I actually went and found out more about Batalash, love her looks!

  2. I’ve seen one review for the Showstopper palette, and it made me want it, and now you’re showing me others that look sooo good! I just got the IT Cosmetics Vitality Face disc and I really like it, though I wish it were a quad with a face powder, too. Then it would be perfect!

    1. i personally like all cream palettes to be just cream products, rather than a mix of cream and powder. I hate it when the powder mixes into the cream. But, I can see why you’d want a powder with it!

  3. OMG I them all! I too love the Tarte disc palettes so that is a must have for me and I was so impressed with the Kat Von D Interstellar palette that I will prob get Shade & Light too. Oh and I think I need to Colour Pop palette too!

  4. Nice selections. The Saucebox once sounds the most interesting. I don’t really need any more browns/neutrals.

  5. want the Two FacedSugar Pop palette and that Tarte palette is calling my name too. How perfect for travel is that??!!! Adorable.

  6. It looks a lovely stash of products, but I am a colour girl – blues and greens always get me. I like the inclusion of blushes in lots of the palettes.

    1. Yeah I like a good peachy pink in a palette for blush! I also would love to see more lush blues and greens and teals (all the teals)

  7. Oh how I wished the Too Faced Natural Matte palette wasn’t Ulta exclusive. I think it’s a major miss for the brand, as they are missing the European market and the income! Ah well, I’m just annoyed too. Maybe the Kat von D palette is a good replacement?

  8. I’m coveting the two Tarte palettes! Too Faced has some great new palettes too this season. My poor wallet!

  9. Choice between TF Natural Matte Eye Palette & Tarte Showstopper??

    1. Good question. If you want a blush, bronzer and highlighter too, get the Showstopper. If you want just eyeshadow, the Too Faced. Both are nicely sized for travel.

  10. Too faced eyeshadows are just best and Natural matte is perfect every day palette. I would also like to try out Showstopper it looks different from any other palette
