Urban Decay Says
Just when our high-tech makeup setting sprays were getting a little lonely on the shelf, our product development team had the brilliant idea to create an antioxidant-rich prep spray. In an exclusive partnership with Skindinavia, UD launches B6 Vitami-Infused Coplexion Prep Spray. This scientifically advanced formula contains the first stabilized form of vitamin B6, which absorbs oil, minimizes pores and reduces redness. Spritz it on any time of day to hydrate, prep and soften your skin with vitamins and antioxidants. Use it in the morning to prep and wake up your skin, during the day to refresh your skin (without messing up your makeup), or at nigh tbefore your treatment. Versatile enough for people of all ages and skin types, men included, this energizing formula is great for your skin and it feels amazing. The more you use it, the better the results.

The Proof
In an 8-week clinical study of B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray:

  • * Over 81% of participants had a measurable reduction in oil and surface shine.
  • * Over 78% had more radiant skin with less redness and fewer blemishes.
  • * A majority of participants had a measurable improvement in pore size.
  • * Over 72% had a measurable improvement in their skin’s overall appearance.

My 6 Reasons

  • * It contains vitamin B6, which helps to normalize overactive cell-signaling proteins (called cytokines) to help control sebum production.
  • * It contains vitamin E, loaded with antioxidants.
  • * It contains willow bark, which aids in cell turnover rate.
  • * It can be used day or night to hydrate your skin or prep for makeup.
  • * It can be used to refresh your face and makeup without taking it off.
  • * It reduces redness.

So far, I’ve tried it immediately after I’ve worked out, to cool off my face. My face was red and angry from running out in the 92 degree heat and humidity and I was covered with sweat. I’ve tried it first thing in the morning after I’ve cleansed to prep the skiin before I applied my moisturizer with SPF. It makes it easier to spread my moisturizer when I do this. I’ve tried it during the day to refresh my makeup. I’ve tried it at night after I took off my makeup but before I put on my night time moisturizers.

Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray

Every time that I’ve used it, it’s been cooling and soothing on the skin. It hasn’t irritated my skin or clogged my pores. While I can’t say that I’ve seen a reduction in pore size (and really I don’t know anything that makes my pores look smaller other than keeping them cleaned out and unclogged), I can say it works well to soothe my angry face, as well as to help make me wake up.

It comes in the new, super cool dark purple (and soft to the touch) packaging with a bright neon green sprayer. The mister is micro-fine, so it evenly disperses to coat your face without clumping. It feels really, really nice when you apply it.

I absolutely love the Skindinavia sprays for Urban Decay.

  1. Has anyone else experienced an allergic reaction?? My lips started burning & swelling after a week of use & even started making my lips bleed

    1. I’ve been using this on and off for a year now and I haven’t had an allergic reaction, but I would say see your doctor immediately and discontinue use!

  2. Just to check (because I’m a complete newbie, and need things spelled out in black and white), can this be used as a primer? As in, putting it on before eyeshadow and foundation etc, will help it stay on longer?

  3. Hi Phyrra, Thanks for checking with UD. I’m glad they answered your question. I will have to check this out. I know you have sensitive skin so if it’s not drying you out, it might work for me, too.

  4. What’s the alcohol level? That’s my big beef with UD and Skindinavia sprays. It really is like spraying hairspray on your face. Over time, alcohol increases free radical damage making you look older – not something I’m keen on. It’s also very drying so while it might work if you’re under forty, after that, I would think that the alcohol would cancel out any benefit from the B6, willow bark, etc. Of course, if, unlike de-Slick, et al, it doesn’t contain any alcohol, my comment is moot.
    Love your blog.

    1. moushkaHi there! I contacted Urban Decay with your question and here’s their response:

The B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray contains a minimal amount of
alcohol, which improves drying time. However, in clinical studies our
      testers overwhelmingly
      said it was very moisturizing.

I can say from my personal use with it that I haven’t found it to be drying. It’s a prep spray as opposed to a finishing spray. It makes it easier for me to spread my moisturizer with spf on top of it.

  5. I got a deluxe sample of the All-Nighter spray, and that’s my go-to right now, but once it runs out, I may need to grab me some of the Complexion Prep spray!

  6. I swear by DeSlick in the Summer and then All nighter the rest of the year! Must try this.

  7. man, I really want to try this. I will have to see if there are samples available somewhere. 😀

  8. I need something like this. I’m always a mess in the heat. I’m using up a Youngblood spray but this sounds better.

  9. Oh how tempting!!  I currently use the All-Nighter Spray, but I like the idea of vitamins B6 and E getting to my skin even more!

  10. B vitamins make skin look great. My moisturizer has some B vitamins in it and i’ve noticed a huge difference in how fresh my skin looks. This is cool that there is a spray out there now. Will have to try it out.
